Ian
“Hector, why did we have to go visit this other pack?” I asked my beta, as I looked around the trail. My seven guardsmen walked with three in front of us and four behind us. “Atticus has a bad feeling about leaving the pack right now.” I, tell him quietly as people walk by us.
“I understand, going to sell the hay and wood in town. But we have to travel for another day to this pack.” I complained. Hector looked at me. “Ian, I don’t want to go to this pack either, but the Alpha of that pack wants you to meet his daughter to see if you are mates.” He said, casually watching passers by.
After we had sold the wood and hay in town. We made our way to the forest, leaving the carts behind, knowing we could make more. As we all shift, we watch the tree line carefully. “I bet the Alpha just wants to know how we shift at will.” I say in the mind-link.” I hear my guardsman laugh in the mind-link, agreeing with me.
Hector sighs in the link. We take off running to the pack. We got there within six hours, realizing that we were now twelve hours away from our own pack, if something were to happen. We walked slowly into the Blue moon packs territory. Soon we saw the houses come into view. The Alpha walks out of the packhouse with his beta on his right and his daughter and Luna on his left.
They all looked at me as I started to shift. The surprise on their faces because I was still clothed. “How?” the Alpha asked. As I let my Alpha aura seep around the Blue moon pack. All of the normal pack members wouldn’t meet my eyes and kneeled down baring their necks to me. But as I looked up at the Alpha in front of me, I saw that they were all baring their necks as well, the Alpha fighting to not show that he was submitting to another Alpha. Atticus chuckles in my head. “I can tell you that your daughter isn’t my mate. I’m not a normal wolf, I am a Lycan. All Lycans are stronger than werewolves Alpha. Lycans are born with a blessing of the moon goddess. Your pack is all cursed wolves.” I told the Alpha.
“How would we become like you?” His Luna asks. My eyes snap to her. “You can’t, cursed werewolves are made from magik. Lycans are born but can change humans into wolves. You have Lycans, then turned wolves, then cursed wolves at the bottom in terms of strength. Your wolves are feral, and not a part of you.” I told her, holding back Atticus from surfacing. “Hector, we are leaving. Told you that this was a waste of time.” I told my beta, turning around and walking back to Hector.
The Alpha steps towards me. “Wait, how do you know she isn’t your mate?” He yells at me, pointing at his daughter. Atticus lost it, my eyes went red with black swirls in them. “Because cursed wolves don't feel their wolves as a part of them. I can talk to my human, feel what he feels, but have my own emotions that he can feel.” Atticus yells at him. Hector had to shift into his human form. “Atticus, give Ian back control. I know you didn’t want us to come here. You were right, it was a waste of time. I’m sorry Alpha, I didn’t know that they were cursed wolves. Axis is also sorry.” Hector yells at my wolf.
`Atticus starts to calm down. He looks at this powerless Alpha, then gave me back control. My eyes going back to their normal golden brown color. “We are leaving. Goodbye Blue moon pack, don’t waste my time again. You could see if the moon goddess could help you.” I told them as Hector and I started shifting.
We left and ran towards our territory as we were running past the town we had stopped at earlier, where we ditched the carts. I smelt fresh rain storms, roses and something I couldn’t place. I stopped and mind-linked my guardsman and Hector that we would be resting here for a bit. Atticus had perked up wanting to go find who that smell belonged to, but as I was about to shift, the scent was gone. Atticus whined in my head.
The group and I woke after a couple of hours and started running again. We finally arrived back in our forest. Immediately, we knew something was wrong. “Spread out, Hector on me…Stay in pairs.” I say in the mind-link. “Check all the houses. Hector to the packhouse.” As soon as the packhouse came into view, we saw my gamma lying on the ground. “Anthony, what happened?” I asked, shifting to my human form. “ He took them, he took everyone. He wants to make a deal, find and bring him, his oldest daughter, then he will return the pack.” Anthony said, holding his side as his ribs were healing.
“Who took them? Who is his daughter?” I asked, kneeling down to try to help him up. Hector came to help, as my guardsmen came towards the packhouse. “Alpha.” my head warrior said “everyone is gone.” “Anthony who took them?” I asked again. Before he can respond, this man steps out of the shadows. He looked like these shadows were hugging him, hiding him from view. “I did.” He said. “The name is Perseus, and I want you to find someone for me, an elemental.” I stared blankly at him.
“If you don’t help me find her, either your pack dies or I experiment on them.” He said, walking towards me. “Why have a wolf track an elemental? They aren’t easy to find.” I asked. The shadows slowly returned to the darkness of the tree line. Perseus stops about a foot away from me. “Because she hunts mythical creatures. She loves to save these pathetic mortals so that they can enjoy life.” He tells me as he picks at his fingernails looking bored. “I made things easy for you, she is already in this town nearby, because of some other werewolves on the other side of the town.” His eyes met mine menacingly as he relayed the information. “ But I believe you already have met them, poor mortals came to me for power and all they will get is death.” He laughs.
“Then why don’t you get her yourself?” I asked him, standing my ground. She will summon her Grandfather and his brothers if I go near her. Just tell her that if she doesn’t go with you, that her siblings will die. They are also watched, because of them, I lost so much.” He complains.
Present Day
“No Perseus, I remember the deal. But I wasn’t expecting her body to accept the bite. I wanted to make sure that she made it through the first night of the transition.” I told him. In the blink of an eye, he went from where he had been standing to being right in my face by the bed. “You made the deal to take her for me, to save your pack. But I can see that the bite on her neck was more than a bite to just turn her. She is your mate.” He says as he starts to laugh maniacally. “You can’t leave her side now and your pack will descend into chaos without you. So now, I get her, you, and your whole pack.” He says as he smiles down at her. “I know that this child would be the special one, out of all my kids.”
“So new deal, I won’t experiment on your pack if you make sure that when she wakes from this sleep, that she stays with me and her other brothers. But sadly, I will be experimenting on her and you. Just going to take some blood and some of your venom for turning wolves to see how this mate bond is formed.” He tells me as his eyes darken like he is enjoying this.
“What are you going to do to her?” I asked as I looked down at Aryia, grabbing her hand feeling sparks as we touched. “When I’m done she can go, but she won't be the same. I want to get her on my side, which means when I’m done she will want to take the other two triplets' abilities, making them human, or well, actually mortal. “I have no option but to accept the deal. Let me have this last night of freedom with my mate. All of us will show up tomorrow. Please, I just want to make sure that she makes it through the night.” I told him.
“See, I would be okay with that but I need her to be unconscious for the first set of experiments to see if her body will accept them. They are a very old magik that gives abilities and strength to the elemental wearing them. So she will come with me tonight. And I’ll come get the rest of you tomorrow after I’m done.” He tells me. “I’ll be back tomorrow, be ready to watch your mate change.”
