Standing in the middle of Ciel’s environment was both a source of comfort and estrangement for Kei. So used as he was to the city life in such a corporate environment, he always felt a little out of place when away from the metropolitan areas.
The good thing about Ciel’s compound was that it was so simple and natural that practically forced people to feel at home, so while everyone had dressed up for the occasion, it became clear that their humble surroundings and the force of nature demanded informality. This was a wonderful thing considering the Cynthia Meeting was all about Shifters relaxing and socializing while being in tune with their nature.
