Well it's official I am a married woman, I get to spend my 21st birthday with Mr. Macho watching every move I make. My mom my best friend and I went to get our nails done.
Carli: " So is he going to be doing that at the party?"
" I guess so I could really care less what he does as long as he stays away from me"
Carli laughs
" But you kissed lastnight I am sure you had fun when you got back to the hotel"
" Yeah it was called watching the back of my eyelids while he snored like a chainsaw"
" Come on Denny it can't be that bad"
I pull up the video on my phone
" Oh my Goodness why is he so damn loud?"
I start laughing
" Told you chainsaw"
Mom laughs
" Your dad is a chainsaw that is an entire room of chainsaws"
We all start laughing and I lay my head back falling asleep while I get my pedicure. We go to lunch and then start getting ready for the party.
I walk out of the bathroom in just my towel and screech at the top of my lungs when a macho man is standing there now staring at me.
" WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING"
" Getting dressed, your dad says I have to look the part or whatever"
" In my room?"
" Our room Ardenia, contract remember"
damn contract is going to be the end of me
" You gonna stay in that towel all night or get dressed?"
I walk over to my dresser and drop my towel putting on my underwear and walk to the closet. I may have to share a room with Macho man but I am not changing my ways for him.
" You should really have some decency Ardinia being naked infront of a man is asking for trouble"
" Says the one who still hasn't put a shirt on. You dress slower than granny B"
He flips me off as he puts on his shirt and grabs a tie
" Stupid damn tie"
I Laugh turning from my vanity looking at him
" Maliki you wear a tie all the time can you not tie it?"
" I only wear a tie at social events and I use a clip on so I can't be strangled with it"
I laugh again and walk over to him
" Here let me help" I tie his tie and realize how close I am to him. He slides his hand to my cheek and kisses my lips softly I pull back
" What the hell are you doing?"
" Kissing my wife"
" Out there I am your wife Maliki in this house and when we are alone it is just a contract"
" So you didn't like it?"
I feel myself blush and turn walking away. I do like it he is so soft and caring about how he kisses me, but there is no way in hell I am falling for Maliki Owens or any man for that matter.
I finish my makeup and head downstairs, our party is at VonSweats a famous night club here in Del City. We walk in and Maliki puts his hand on my hip leaning to my ear.
" Keep your eyes off other men and try not to drink too much"
I turn to him
" I'm sorry when did you become my father?"
He tightens his jaw and I walk off to join my girls.
The party has been great the girls and I are enjoy our drinks and talking about how crappy the music is.
" No wonder you broke a bottle against my face, in love with your daddies body guard that has to be a new one"
" Go away Carter, no one asked and honestly no one cares"
He grabs my arm turning me toward him
" Oh I care Denny, you won't give any to me but I bet you where screwing that Great Ape the entire time"
" Too bad he isn't here to protect you now"
" You sure about that?"
Carter turns looking like a munchkin from the wizard of oz compared to Maliki
" Get away from my wife, and don't come near her again"
Carter scurries off
I look up at Maliki
" Can we go home please, I suddently don't feel good"
He nods and we walk out getting into our limo I set in the seat across from him leaning into the corner.
" You want to tell me what that was about?"
" Why?"
" I can't protect you if I don't know what the danger is Ardenia"
" I don't need your protection Maliki I can do damage all on my own"
" And end up in jail during the process"
" I don't want to talk about it Maliki just leave it alone"
" Tell me what happened between you two Ardenia"
" No, you are just going to run off and nark on me to my father, I told you he had it coming and I don't act without cause just leave it alone"
" You are such a pain in my a$$ Ardenia Rose"
" Welcome to the club"
We get home and I jump out going to my room and getting ready for bed. The Paul Bunion look a like has took it apon himself to make a pillow wall. I lay down on my side turning to the edge and putting on noise canceling headphones. Maybe I can get some sleep tonight without the chainsaw waking me up every 5 seconds.
MALIKI
There is something fishy going on between her and Carter and I plan to dig around and see what it is. I have been waching her all night and her mood completly changed when he came around her. I lay in bed watching her sleep, she actually doesn't look like a total brat when she is sleeping.
Today was really annoying, her and her friends have this bright light that always seem to follow them. The thing that got me the most today is when no one was looking She would sigh and wipe back tears trying to escape her eyes.
