CHAPTER SIXTEEN Natalie couldn't sleep again. The city outside her apartment window had long gone quiet, but her mind refused to cooperate. There was Richard, the hacked database, Jasmine, the flash drive. Everything felt like it was spiraling out of control. She rolled onto her side and glanced at the clock, It was 2:17 a.m. “Wonderful.” She whispered. At this rate, she'd either develop insomnia or commit a felony, possibly both. Her phone buzzed on the nightstand. Natalie frowned. “Who was awake at this time?” She thought. Her eyes widened, it was a text from Damien. “Are you awake?” Natalie stared, then laughed softly. Apparently she wasn't the only one suffering tonight. She typed back. “Unfortunately.” His response came almost immediately. “Good.” Natalie blinked. “Good?”
