By the time Damien's SUV pulled into the underground parking garage of his penthouse building, it was close to midnight, rain continued to fall over Manhattan, drumming softly against the windshield before the engine fell silent.
Neither Damien nor Natalie spoke as they stepped out of the vehicle. The events of the evening weighed heavily on both of them. Jasmine was still missing, Claire had vanished, and somewhere in the city, Richard Halston was making his next move.
Logan walked beside them toward the private elevator, speaking quietly into an earpiece.
"Double the security detail."
He continued. "No one gets past the lobby without clearance."
"I also want two additional men covering the underground entrance."
He ended the call as the elevator doors slid open.
