Surprise flickered across Damien's face. His gaze shifted from me to Victor, then to the open file resting on the desk, his expression hardened. "What's going on?"
Victor remained composed. "I asked Miss Brooks to come here."
"I can see that."
The atmosphere in the room grew noticeably heavier. Damien walked farther inside, quietly closing the door behind him, his attention returned to me almost immediately.
"Are you alright?"
