5. Almost Kidnapped

Prince Caspian's POV___

"I heard you are going in Red moon ball this year?"

Oliver asked me, to enter my office.

"yes" I replied still studying the documents in my hands.

"It only means you have found her"

"I don't know what you are talking about," I told him when I exactly know what he is talking about.

"Ohh come on, you know what exactly I am referring to. you must have found out that your mate will be there at Red moon ball. That's why you are going, right?"

He knows me very well. I sigh and look at him.

"No, you are wrong. I don't know if my mate will be there but mom is sure about that. I haven't felt her yet but mom insisted that I will meet her this year so I am counting on her."

"Okay, that makes sense. if mom is sure about it then you will find her " he smiled at me.

I nod at him in agreement. My mom is the strongest witch and I trust her instincts.

This will be the first time when I will attend any gathering of supernaturals. I deliberately avoid all balls and gatherings because my aura is so dark and strong that no one can stand in my presence.

I don't want anyone to spread rumors about me being more powerful than my father when he is still sitting on the throne.

He is a great king and I want everyone to remember that only, I promised dad that I will start going to meetings and gatherings once I find my mate.

I just hope she won't be scared of me. that is the last thing I want.

"I am sorry your highness, I didn't know you are still working"

my thoughts were interrupted by a trembling maid who's schedule to clean my office.

Don't know why but I am feeling restless today. something is different. I am feeling sad and I don't know why. I try to avoid that feeling by concentrating on important documents in my hand which I have to sign.

I try to sleep but I am still feeling strange, something is not right. I decided to take a walk in the garden.

"Why are you up so late?" mom came and sit with me on the beach.

I sigh and rest my head on my palms. "Don't know mom but I am feeling so restless without any reason."

she chuckled at that. "what is so funny"

she shakes her head. "you are feeling your mates emotions"

I gaze at her if she is kidding but no she is serious. that means my mate must have turned 18 for me able to feel her emotions.

I nod at my mom and then we both go to get some rest.

I can't sleep all night, sun rays are picking through the curtain. I sigh and decide to do it finally. I have to see her.

I close my eyes and try to connect her through my mind, if she is sleeping then I can appear in her dream that way I can see her.

After some time I find myself in front of a very beautiful girl, her forest-green eyes are so deep I can get lost in them I tried to see he face but her eyes are so captivating that I wasn't able to avert my eyes. "well meet soon princess"

with that saying, I got out of her dream.

Now I can't wait to finally meet her in person.

Elora's POV___

Today is Friday, the day before the Red moon ball. Guests will start to show up by evening today so I have to complete my work before that.

By afternoon I was done with cleaning the ballroom and since I came early to start my work everyone still thinks that I was working overnight.

For everyone to believe it is real I am acting to drag myself out of the ballroom. I don't want anyone to be suspicious of me.

I was about to turn in the west wing's direction when someone blocks my way. I stretched my make to see who this person is when I see directly at Reagan.

I instantly dropped my act and gaze everywhere if anyone is present in the hallway. he raised his eyebrows at my behavior change. I ignore his look and drag him to my room after making sure no one saw us.

once inside the room I locked the door.

"What are you doing here Reg?"

I ask him, he furrows at my question.

"can't I come to see my baby sister?"

I sigh at his behavior.

"Reg you know your mother doesn't like you doing anything for me let alone talking. she knows about college applications. she will never let me out of here. "

I look away from him. I don't like him to see me like this always.

He cups my face in his hand and forces me to look at him.

"I know El how difficult it is for you to stay here and I don't want to cause any more trouble for you but you have to do what I am saying to you. it can be your chance to get out of here."

he says to me with determination but I can see whatever he's telling me to do is not a simple thing. I can feel it. getting out of here is not simple.

"what are you talking about?" I asked him curiously.

he takes a deep breath and starts to explain to me his plan. my eyes widen at his words.

"Are you out if you mind Reg, you want me to attend Red moon ball after your mother's working to not even come in front of any guest and lock myself into my room for two days?

shit, Reagan was not supposed to know this.

" what did you say? mom asked you not to come in front of any guest and be in this room for the whole weekend?"

I just nod at him.

and now he's angry. Reg it's okay even I don't want to attend that ball you know no one wants me there anyway and I don't have any outfit to go.

I reasoned with him.

"you don't have to worry about your outfit I have already taken care of that part. and. I want you to attend this ball because you can meet your mate there, you have turned 18 El if you find your mate you can get out of here and no one can stop you."

I suck in a breath at the mention of a mate. I want to tell him that I have already know who my mate is and he has rejected me without any hesitation. but I can't, I can't do this to him. how can I tell him his best friend is the person who has walked on my dreams and broke them into million pieces.

"what if my mate doesn't want me as his mate and rejects me?" I can't help but ask him.

he looked at me in disbelief

"don't you ever think that low of yourself El, no one ever wants to reject you as their mate and if that happens then that person is not the one for you? you are too good for anyone. your mate will be lucky to have you."

tears stream out of my eyes at his words. how long am I going to able to hide everything from him I don't know. I have to tell him everything soon I can't keep secrets from him but now is not the time ill tell him after Eed moon ball.

then it clicks me what if that person came to the ball, I may meet the person who sends me that letter on my birthday at the ball.

'pleas El trust me this once I will make sure even if you don't find your mate at the ball you will be able to get out of here."

I have to take this chance, "what you are going to do Reg?"

I ask him, what he is planning that he is so sure that I will get out of here even without my so-called mate being found?

"I can't tell you that, you will see it at the ball. trust me this is the best chance we have,"

I nod at him in agreement "okay"

he pulls me in a bone-crushing hug, I smile at that and hug him back.

he pulls back and starts to explain to me his master plan.

"Okay so here is the thing, I will come and get you before the ball when everyone will be busy at the throne room for the meeting with the dragon king. since I am still not the king I am not allowed to attend the meeting. I will have your outfit ready in my bedroom, in that time you can get ready, and then we will go to attend the ball together so no one asks you questions about the invitation."

I listen to everything carefully

"I will make sure to be by your side for the whole time so no one can bully you. my mom won't be able to say anything 8n front of guests so that is not the problem. we just have to make sure no one gets to notice us before the ball and be suspicious about our actions."

I nod at him.

"understood, thank you Reg for doing this"

I smile at him

"you don't have to El you know how much I love you and will do everything in my power to make sure you are safe and happy. I know I was able to help you before but now I can do it "

we hug one last time before he speaks out of my room.

now I just hope that the letter sender will be there tomorrow to answer my questions. that way maybe I can get out of here.

Lucian's POV___

You know what you have to do.

"of course your majesty"

my men bowed and were about to leave when I stopped them

"wait, I don't want a single scratch on her body".

" yes your majesty "

and they left to complete the task.

time has come, Elora will be in my arms in some time. she will be mine and her powers as well. with that, I will fulfill my dream of ruling over all supernatural creatures. no one can stop me now.

"your majesty, it's time for the meeting" .my second in command inform me.

I nod and stride in the direction of the throne room in the fairy palace.

this will be the last time when I will bow in front of that dragon king.

Elora's POV___

I pace across the room anxiously. meeting with the dragon king started at 5 p.m.and now it's 5:10 still Reg is not here.

will he come? is our plan still on the board? what if Angeline four out about our plan and now Reg is not able to come to get me.

no that can't be

I am about to start panic when someone burst into my room. I turn around with a smile on my lips to expect Reg on the door but I was wrong.

three men stood there staring at me.

"Who are you?"

Reagan's POV___

I have successfully convinced El to attend the ball. I know it is too risky knowing that my mom doesn't want her to meet any guests let alone attending the ball but this can be the last chance for El to escape from here.

I know the chances of finding her mate are very slim but still, we can try, and even if she didn't find her mate I have thought about something else.

I have thought it through, I will ask for help from the dragon queen.

First I was shocked when grandma told me that Elora's mother and dragon queen were good friends. if they were that close then I can try to ask her to let them take Elora into their kingdom. that is the place where no one can try to harm her not even my mom. she may be the fairy queen but she can't go against the dragon kingdom, no one can.

I know El wants to go live in the human world but mom will never let her live in peace so dragon kingdom is the last place I think will be best for her.

I picked up her dress from my friend's boutique, she is a fairy and designs very beautiful dresses. she has designed this dress, especially for El when I told her she is going to attend the first time. I first thought she will be my mate but I was wrong. I hope I will also find my mate this year.

it's 5:15 already, I am late El must be waiting. I sneak into the west wing making sure no one sees me. El's room is four doors down when I heard voices. something is wrong.

I hurried my steps to reach her door when I saw her lifted off the ground with her wings spread and 3 men trying to reach her.

the girl is so gracefully just like a moon goddess. I halt in my steps shocked when I realize that girl is Elora, my human sister who's not so human now.

Elora's POV___

"Who are you?" I questioned them

"We are here to escort you to our majesty, princess "

they bow to me.

this looks fishy. no one ever addressed me as a princess and I have never seen this man before. they even don't look like fairies.

"Who sent you? "

I try to get more information.

"We can't tell you that princess, you will know once we escort you there"

In hell, I will follow you out of here.

"I am not going anywhere with you guys. I glance at the door again, hoping Reagan will show up.

then something came into my peripheral vision I turn my gaze where those three men were standing but now they are not there that's when someone grabs me by my forearm.

two means grab my arms and started to drag me out and the third one stand there instructing them to don't hurt me eventually their master has told them to not harm me in any way.

that most have thought I will be easy to drag out of here but they are so wrong. I used all my energy and stay rooted in my spot.

" Can we just knock her out, her struggling was not in the plan"

the man who is holding my left hand asks the other two men.

"Don't you dare, we are strictly instructed not to harm her" the man who is instructing them growled at the man.

I started to panic when I see his red. eyes and fangs, vampires.

oh my God, why would vampires want me to kidnap? does their master know about my powers somehow?

I have to do something. I can't be captured. I close my eyes and imagined my wings. instantly my wings spread on my back u flew across the room getting out of their death grip. they looked at me shocked. they certainly didn't expect me to fly. they tried to reach me but I started to fly from one corner to other in the room. I can't go out like this. no one can see me with my wings. just then I heard the door crack and my eyes met Reagan's shocking blue robes.

but he regained quickly and run in front of me to protect me. I land behind him.

"They are vampires and want to kidnap me I don't know why" I diaper to Reg.

before they can do anything Reg ties them in a spell and they all fell unconscious.

"They are not dead are they?" I asked him

"No, they are not,"

he grumbled, grab my hand, and started to drag me out of my room towards his room without any other word.

I can feel he is angry. I have planed to tell him everything after the ball but now I think I have to tell him now.

I never wanted him to find out this way.

No one is present in the hallways, everyone must be busy attending guests, and remaining will be a meeting with the dragon king in the throne room.

We enter his room and he slams his four shut behind him.

"I think you have so much to tell me or you still want to lie to me. I thought you tell me everything but now I see I was wrong this whole time"

I looked down my eyes turn moist.

it hurts, he is the only person who treats me well and now he thinks I lied to him.

I can't lose him.

"don't say that Reg, I never lied to you."

"Ohh really, then how will you explain what just happened in your room. you are fuking fairy all along and you never told me that."

he yells at me.

"I never knew I am a fairy just like you, I found out just a week ago on my birthday. "

"what do you mean?"

he asks me and I tell him everything that happens on my birthday along with the thing that I won't find my mate tonight because my mate liam has already rejected me the moment he found out.

he was too shocked to say anything.

"Liam is your mate?"

"was, he rejected me so we are not mates anymore".

my vice wavers at the memories of what liam has done to me.

Reagan shook in anger

" I am going to kill him."

I place my hand on his clenched fist and unclenched it looking at him

"let it be Reg, I don't want to think about him."

he hugs me right and kisses my hair

"I am so sorry El, I should have known something is not right the way you were crying that day but I failed to notice your pain. "

"it's not your fault Reg, I didn't tell you how would you know"

I pull back and he wipes tears from my face. I smile at him.

"enough of this, you should get ready for the ball. we don't have much time left."

Reg push me inside the washroom to get ready.

"do you still want me to go to that ball, you know I won't be able to find my mate and..."

he cuts me off

"I know but you can meet the person who has to send that letter to you and I have a backup plan ready if you don't find your mate so now hurry up. I have bought some things from my friend which you can use to do your makeup and then you have to wear this dress"

he tells me handing a bag.

I node at him and got into the washroom to get ready.
