Goodbye

Third person's POV___

Even though Caspian granted my wish to visiting my grandma without any question I can feel he is still seething.

And I know exactly why he is mad at me. he wants Liam dead from the instant he saw me and Liam in that hallway at Red moon Ball.

I sigh. I am not liking this at all.

we have met just yesterday but it feels like we knew each other for eternity.

I asked Reg to come with us and he agreed. he knows how am I feeling.

I always dreamed of the day of me leaving this castle and Fae kingdom but now when my dream is coming true I am feeling anxious.

it's not because I am leaving this place it's because I don't know where I am going.

no one knows about Dragon kingdom not even where it is on the earth or not.

Everything about Dragon kingdom and the creatures living there is a mystery and now I have to go there to live my entire life. even though I was relieved when I got to know that my future mother-in-law was my mother's best friend and how he helped me today I can say she is very nice.

I just hope everyone will accept me as their queen.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when Reg tap me on my shoulder.

I am standing in front of the main entrance of the Fae castle.

Caspian and James are discussing something related to the kingdom.

"what are you thinking so hard."

Reg asked me.

I gaze at him with a small smile on my face.

"I was just wondering how my life changed in one night. "

he hugged me from the side to comfort me.

"I know El and I am so happy for you. finally, you will be out of this place. it's just that I will miss you."

I told him while kissing the side of my head.

tears threaten to come out of my eyes but I close my eyes preventing them from falling.

"I know Reg and I will miss you more than you think."

he nodded at me.

I can feel Caspian's gaze on me but I didn't bother to separate from Reg's comfortable embrace. I need this now more than ever.

he and my grandmother are the only family or friends I have in this world.

"our ride is here, lets go."

Caspian says while holding his hand out for me to take.

I place my hand in his hand. there are four cars are parked in front of us.

first and last was occupied by royal guards in the second car James and Reg entered with their driver.

The third cars' passenger seat door was opened by the guard and Caspian gestured me to go in first then he slides in after me.

we drove out of Castle in silence. anyone can feel the tension between us. I glance few times at Caspian but he didn't pay attention to me. I didn't like the tension between us. why can't he understand that it is not easy for me to punish anyone to death?

I sigh in frustration and turn my gaze away from him to look out of the window.

I felt his gaze on me sometimes but I didn't move to look at him. I know if I did he will again start to ignore me. I will talk to him after I visit grandma.

I sat up straight when a familiar two-story house came into my line of vision.

I haven't seen her in a long time, I am so excited to see her. once the car came to halt in front of the house I leaped at the door handle to get out of the car only to discover it is locked.

I glance at Caspian who has a smirk playing on his lips. I glared at him. he is doing this on purpose. I waited for the driver to unlock the door but he never did. now I know what is this. he wants me to ask him to open the door but I am not going to back down. I didn't do anything wrong still he was the one who is avoiding me. so I am not going to talk to him first.

it's been 10 minutes and still, no one has exited any car.

Urgh, why he is so stubborn. only because I want to meet my grandma so badly I am backing down this time but next time he is not going to win this. I tell to myself before turning my gaze to him.

"Caspian opens the door I want to go out."

I told him but he didn't budge.

calm down Elora calm down.

I told myself to calm down I can't lose my temper.

"Caspian can you please open the door."

I ask him in a sweet voice and a smile plastered on my face.

smirk plastered on his face replaced with a broad smile.

The next thing I know is one guard making his way toward my door. he opened the door for me and then Caspian.

when we were out of the car Caspian came to my side and was about to place his hand on my west but I walk away from him and strode towards the front door of the house. without waiting for anyone else I rang the doorbell.

I can sense Caspian's presence beside me. he places his hand on my waist and pulls me closer only to lean in and whisper to me.

"don't ever walk away from me princess, I swear you won't like the consequences."

shudder run down my spine at his words. I felt my legs go weak.

he breathes in my hair before straightening up. Sparks flew through my body making my mind dizzy.

how can his mare touch and some words affect me this much?

before I can respond to him the door opened and there is standing my grandmother in her house dress looking all beautiful with her short gray hair.

she frowns her brows at Caspian but when her gaze land on me her face lit up with a wide grin.

"E...Elora? is that you?"

she stuttered in shock.

I know she must be shocked to see me here because in no way I can come here to see her when Angeline is alive but now she is not the one to decide for me. I am free from her.

I nodded at her in agreement with a wide smile playing on my lips.

she turns to look at Caspian.

I know she has so many questions but I can't answer them standing here.

"Can we come inside Grandma?"

I asked her.

"yes yes of course, sorry I was too shocked when I saw you that I forget to invite you in. please come."

she steps aside to let us space to go inside.

once I step in I flew my hands around her in a bear hug.

I missed her so much. few tears flow down my cheek.

"I missed you so much, Grandma"

I told her. she places her both hands around me to soothe me.

she strokes my hair lovingly. her eyes roam over my body to check how I was been.

"you have grown so much from the last time I saw you and also so beautiful."

I smile at her.

I look at Caspian whose gaze is fixed on me.

"grandma this is my mate Caspian, and Caspian this is my grandma."

I introduced them.

Caspian stretches his hand to shake with her but instead, she pulls him into a hug.

I thought Caspian would be furious but he let her held him in an embrace.

"Nice to meet you, mam."

Caspian manages to say.

"Ohh don't call me that, call me grandma," she told him with a smile.

Caspian nodded at her.

"Ohh sorry I didn't even tell you to sit. please sit down young man"

she offered us to sit in the living room when she noticed James and Reagan standing behind us.

"Reagan dear you also came." she pulls Reg into a hug.

"Hi, grandma."

Reg greeted her with a smile.

"meet my friend Aloha James."

reg introduced James to her.

that reminded me that I didn't tell her who Caspian is.

I sigh. how did I forget to tell her that?

reg and James sat across from us on a comfy couch.

grandma came back from the kitchen with refreshments and snacks for us.

after placing everything on the table she sat next to my right side when Caspian was seated on my left.

"so young man tell me what you do for a living?"

she asked Caspian which I didn't expect.

"does Angeline knows about this? is she okay with it? she didn't cause any problem for you guys right?"

she whispered so many questions to me that I didn't know how to start the answer.

Caspian saw my state and must have heard her so he answers for me.

"I am the crown prince of Dragon kingdom. and don't worry about Angeline she didn't be able to create any more problem in Elora's life because she is no longer a queen."

Caspian answered all her questions in one go.

her eyes widen at his statement.

"you are dragon prince that means you are Queen Scarlet's elder son right?"

she asked him.

he just nodded at her in response.

"oh, moon goddess, this is happening I can't believe this,"

she exclaimed with the brightest smile on her face.

I eyed everyone in the room asking if anyone knows what she is talking about but everyone was as shocked as I am.

"what are you talking about grandma?"

I asked her confused.

but she just shook her head with a smile on her face.

"I am not the right person to tell you this. you will know everything soon."

she told me. I remembered the letter I received on my birthday in which something like this was written.

I look at her auspicious. did she know about my powers all along?

there is only one way to find out.

"you knew I am a fae from the start don't you?"

I asked her and I got my answer when she lowers her gaze.

"so I was right"

she didn't utter a word.

my visions blurred with unshaded tears.

"why? why didn't you tell me before?"

she sighs and places her hand on mine to comfort me

"I am so sorry, my love. I wanted to tell you but this was your mother's decision. I was bounded in promise. "

I nodded at her.

I can understand. I just thought maybe if I had known this earlier I would have more hope in my life.

but it's okay if my mother thought that keeping this from me for all this year was really that important then there must be a reason.

"it's okay grandma, I know you would never want anything bad for me."

she nodded at me with a smile on her face.

"It means you will have to leave soon."

grandma blurred out.

I nodded at her unable to form a word.

"when?"

she asked me.

"we will be leaving today after lunch. that's why I came to say goodbye to you."

I told her.

Caspian placed his hand on my waist and pulled me into him to comfort me. he turns me around to face him then wipes my cheeks with his thumbs. I didn't realize I was crying until then.

"I am happy for you honey. just don't forget me when you go there."

she told me with her eyes moist and a smile on her face.

"I can never forget you grandma you know that."

I told her.

she nodded at me.

"Please take good care of my Elora, she has suffered all her life. she never deserved that life. I hope you will cherish her and if you don't then I will hunt you all your life after I die becoming a ghost."

she warned Caspian.

I smiled when I saw Caspian's face at her threat.

he must be thinking what weird people I came across with.

we stay there for some time telling her all the drama that happened on red moon ball.

she enjoyed every single minute of it.

I said goodbye with tears in. both of our eyes.

on the ride back to the castle Caspian held me in his arms till we reach our destination.
