"what do you want"

Angeline hissed at me entering my room.

"don't give me that attitude"

I furrow at her

"oh right, I was the one who put all blame on myself about your fake mate thing right?"

sarcasm oozing in her every word.

"yes, it was your fault. you had only one task and that was to keep an eye on that girl but you can't do that either. you didn't even know when did she get her fae powers"

I hissed at her

I should have known better than trusting this brainless woman.

I can't forget the humiliation I venture in that ball in front of everyone.

"you have to help me get out of this, I can't lose my throne. King is going to dethrone me tomorrow"

she wines like a child.

I smirk at her

"what do you think to whom you are talking?"

I glared at her

"I am not the same boy who would do anything for his mate who doesn't even want to be with him. we have rejected each other a long time ago, remember? "

yes, I have already found my mate a long time ago. she is none other than Fae queen angeline. I met her at the new year gala when King Xander bought his queen Alissa with him alongside his second wife Angeline.

I first thought Reagan is Xander and Alissa's son but then I came across this wicked woman who slept with her sister's mate just to be queen. I was too naive to think about my mate's happiness and help her to kill her sister.

I grab her by her chin roughly to show her who is in charge here. she doesn't get to make decisions now.

"list to me you b***h, and listen carefully. my three men haven't returned yet. I sent them to take Elora but she flees and I am not able to find my men. now you are just going to dethrone but if they got caught you will lose everything because I will tell everyone how you killed the former queen Alissa. "

I can see the horror in her eyes.

"you won't do that"

she said weekly

I laugh at that

"well try me. I promise you will see what I can do."

she gulps in fear

"I saw royal guards of the dragon kingdom taking them down to the dungeon "

I growled in frustration

"don't worry they are unconscious so they can't spill anything at least for few hours"

I know my men won't spill my name in any circumstances but I can't take any chance.

I nodded at her.

without any word, she scurried out of my room.

I know one person who can help me with this.

I called Lilian

"I have one task for you"

I got on the point straight, I don't have time to waste.

"what can I do for you, your majesty?"

"I want my three men dead, they are captured in Fae castle's dungeon. I'll text you their names. it should look like suicide"

I told her what she has to do.

"sure your majesty"

"how much time will it take?"

"minimum 1 hour"

"Okay, do it now. text me when you are done."

I cut the call.

I know she will do exactly what I have told her.

I instantly send her the name of those three men.

"your majesty" the guard bowed entering my room

"tell me"

I ask him

"Princess Elora is in Prince Caspian's room. Princess Ingrid attacked princess Elora in the throne room."

I dismissed him with a node.

I should have listened to Lilian. if I have taken her help to kidnap Elora then maybe she would have been with me now.

I clench my hands and slam my fist on the near-wall in frustration.

I believed Angeline when she told me that there will be no one to help Elora and she won't fight back because she is human.

I sigh in frustration.

this was my best chance to take Elora with me without anyone's concert but from now on she will be in tight security out of anyone's reach. I know that Caspian will not take this lightly.

but this doesn't mean I will back down that easily.

I have to think about a new plan to reach Elora.

then I remembered about Ingrid. yeah, how did I forget about her?

she is obsessed with Caspian. she can be a good help to reach Elora but not when she keeps acting like a brainless b***h.

well, what can I expect from Angeline's daughter?

they both are the same.

now I just hope they won't take any action against Ingrid because of her stupidity.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when I hear the ringing of my phone.

I saw 1 text from Lilian.

"done"

I smirk at that.

I know I can count on her.

now I have to meet Princess Ingrid first thing in the morning.

Caspian's POV___

I enter my room in Fae castle to see my mate laying on one side of the bed unconscious.

then I notice she is still in her evening dress.

I sigh.

"mum, can you send one of your maids to help Elora?"

I mind link, my mother.

"What happened to Elora? is everything alright?"

she asked me

"she is unconscious but I checked her and she's fine. I'll tell you later about what happened. please send one of your maids to help her change."

I explained to her.

"Okay, I've sent Maria. she'll be there in a few."

I was about to go near my mate when someone knocks on the door.

"Your highness, Her highness queen Scarlet's lady's maid Maria is here"

my guard informs me.

"let her in "

with that Maria entered my room bowing in submissions

"her highness told me you needed me here."

I nodded at her.

"Princess Elora is unconscious, help her change in one of my jumpers"

I inform her and walk out of the room to give them some privacy.

while Maria is inside I stop at James room.

"did you find those men?"

I asked him.

"yes, they are still unconscious. Reagan told me they will gain their consciousness within few hours. I have chained them in the dungeon."

I nodded at him

"inform me when they regain their consciousness, I will be there while questioning."

"sure, how is princess Elora?"

"she is fine. still unconscious."

with that, I left his room.

after few minutes Maria came out.

I dismiss her with a node.

"if anything happens mind link me"

I inform my guards and enter the room.

I change in my sweatpants and get into bed next to my mate.

I trace the feathers of her face, her forehead high cheekbones, soft lips small jaw.

she is so beautiful.

I miss staring at her green eyes. they are memorizing.

sparks ignite at every touch.

I remember her face when I meet her in her dream but she is more beautiful in person.

her skin is so soft and her wavy hairs are so long.

I tuck the fallen lock behind her ear.

I remove my t-shirt and get under the covers pulls her closer to me.

I sigh in content.

I fell asleep quickly after that.

Elora stirred next to me.

I can feel she is awake but I didn't move to let her know I am not asleep.

I want to know what she'll do when she realizes I am sleeping next to her.

she stirs again so I tighten my grip around her.

she stays unmoving for few minutes then tries to wiggle in my grip so I growl under my breath to tell her to stop wiggling.

but instead, she jumps up in surprise and was about to fall off the bed when I pull her on time and save her from falling.

"where are you going?"

I ask her.

"nowhere" she squeaks immediately

I pull up from the bed hovering over her. it is still dark outside and since all lights are off the room is pitch black.

I lock both of her has above her head in a tight grip. not so tight to leave a mark.

I can still see her but she can't. I can see how she is trying to catch a glimpse of me or anything in particular but failing.

I smile at her. she is so innocent.

I turn on the lamp.

"thanks" she mutters quickly.

she wanted to say more but stopped at the sight of me. she gulps nervously then blush.

I smirk. she noticed I am not wearing a shirt.

" haven't you seen a shirtless man before?"

I asked her.

I know it's a stupid question of course she has seen many men shirtless before but one part of me wants it to be wrong and my heart flutters at her response

she shakes her head answers no.

"well then you can see me now, and I'll prefer you seeing me naked than any other male."

I state boldly.

her eyes widen at my statement.

I can see her blush spread all across her neck and ear.

she is so adorable. I love when she blushes.

"I like when you blush."

I can see she is at the loss of words.

"you are so beautiful do you know that?"

I trailed my hand slowly from her red cheeks to her neck.

The next second I replace my hand with my lips on her neck.

I can hear her sharp intake of breath when I kissed her on the neck, she titles her neck to give me better access.

I place sift feather-like kisses at the base of her neck.

I was about to reach her jaw when James annoying voice ring in my head.

"you have to come to see this now"

"what?"

I growled in an irritated tone in my mind link

"those three men's are dead"

I growled at that.

"I'll be there in a few"

I breathe deeply to calm myself down.

"w...what happened?"

my princess asked me stuttering in panic.

I started her with my growl.

"I am sorry princess but I have to go now. there is some emergency."

I didn't tell her about those men.

I don't want her to be stressed.

but her next statement surprised me.

"it's okay if you want to leave, you don't have to lie about having some emergency "

she says but outs her hand on her mouth quickly realizing what she has said.

"What did you say?"

I asked her with a low growl

"nothing" she blurs quickly.

"why would I lie to you?"

I ask her frowned.

"How did you know there is some emergency now, without anyone informing you!"

she reasoned with me.

I looked at her for a moment before chuckling.

yeah, she doesn't know about mind linking.

I forgot Fae cant mind link.

"James mind linked to meet me now. that how I know."

I explained to her.

"you can mind link like werewolves?"

she asked me innocently.

"yes princess I can and you will be able to do also when I mark you."

I tell her.

her eyes widen at the bent on of marking

I don't have time to explain to her about making now.

she nodded at me

"don't go out, my guards are outside. if you want anything just tell them, okay?"

"get some sleep. it's still early."

I tell her and get out of bed to change.

then she noticed her clothes are different.

I would have teased her about that but now I don't have time so I tell her the truth.

"one of my mother's maid change your clothes"

she sighs in relief.

I kissed her on the forehead before heading out.

James is waiting for me.

"What happened exactly?"

we both started to walk in the direction of the dungeon.

Reagan came joining us before James could reply.

"I heard about those men so I came to check what happened, I hope you don't mind"

I nodded at him before motioning for James to continue

"they committed suicide the instant they regain their consciousness. without even muttering any other world."

"where are those bodies? I want to check."

I ask him.

James nodded at me.

after checking their body I know what has happened.

"They didn't commit suicide willingly, someone makes them do it. now we have to find who?"

I stated.

I have my suspicions but I'm not sure.
