Last day in Fae Kingdom

Reagan's POV___

I am stunned and worried at the same time when I looked at Elora floating few feet up from the ground.

I am stunned because I have never seen any Fae glow like this, she has this aura around her which is glowing her wings are shining.

she is looking like the moon goddess right now.

but then I gaze at her face to see she's frightened.

I approach her to calm her down but it was like she didn't even know she is the one who sent Ingrid flying across the room.

I was trying my best to get her back to her senses but she started to have panic attacks.

I have to do something.

I quickly shout for the guards to inform prince Caspian to hurry back here.

he is Elora's mate.

he can help her.

in the meantime, I informed two maids to take Ingrid to her room.

"El calm down".

she looked at me like she is hearing what I am saying now.

thank the goddess

I assure her it was not her fault and everything is okay when throne room doors slam open.

" what is going on here?"

Prince Caspian growled"

before I can explain anything he hurried towards El and catch her midway in his arms.

she has fainted.

he hugs her close to her and then makes his way out of the room carrying El to his Room.

I followed him, I know he would want me to explain what happened.

"What happened?"

James asked when we reach Prince Caspian's room.

jams were waiting outside of Prince's room.

"wait here"

with that said Prince head into his room with El in his arms.

we both waited outside for the prince.

"let's go in your room James "

says prince once he was out of his room.

four guards came rushing towards us. they are from the dragon kingdom.

"guard my room till I come back. no one is allowed to enter and if Princess Elora wakes up inform me immediately. she can't leave the room till I get here. "

all four of them nodded and bowed in submission.

after making sure Elora is safe inside the room we enter James' room.

both of them stared at me expectedly to explain what just happened.

I sigh and rub my temple

"Ingrid attacked El."

both of them growled at my statement.

"don't worry I stepped in to protect El, but Ingrid says some hurtful things to El. El is still not used to her powers, she doesn't know how to use them or to what extent she can use them.

she lost control of herself and attacked Ingrid back.

she didn't do it on purpose, I didn't even know how she did that. when she understood what she has done she got panicked and fainted."

I explained

"what do you mean she is not used to her powers?"

James asked.

"as everyone knows El was human for all her life but she found out she is not human but fae on her 18th birthday one week ago.

she didn't tell anyone about her being fae.

I found out today when I saw her fighting with 3 vampires who tried to kidnap her just before Red moon ba started."

prince Caspian growled at mentioning her kidnapping.

"who tried to kidnap her and why?"

he demands

"Prince Caspian I don't know who sent them but I can guess it was King Lucian. "

"no need for courtesy Reagan."

I nodded at him

"can you send your guards to El's room? I have tied those 3 vampires in her room so they can't escape. we can interrogate them."

I suggest

"Why didn't you tell me earlier. I'll send guards right away. tell me where is princess Elora's room."

James asked me

"her room is the last one at west wing in the servants quarter "

Caspian and James both gave me confusing look.

"no one that's her as a king's daughter, instead she lived like a maid in the castle. that's why her room is at servants quarter."

James nodded stifle at me before going out to send the guard in El's room.

I can see Caspian is holding himself back.

his hand is clenched in anger.

"Caspian"

I try to get his attention

he turns to me

"I have one request"

he nodded at me to continue

"I know you would never want El to come back here but she doesn't have anyone in her life other than me and our grandmother. I just want to be able to contact her after she goes with you."

he pats my back

"don't worry I would never operate Elora from her only family."

"thank you, I know it will sound heartless but I am glad that Liam rejected El..."

Caspian cuts me off with his growl.

"calm down man, I just mean it is easy for El to accept you as a mate when she doesn't have any connection with Liam. and I know she deserves way better than him."

"I would have courted Elora to make her mine even if they would have been accepted their mate bond. no one can take my mate away from me."

I nodded at him smiling.

"well, I should get going. I have to talk to my father."

I excused myself to meet my father.

I still don't know what King Riordan was referring to when he told my father about the thing he has to do.

what they discussed before coming to the throne room.

I enter my father's study.

he is sitting alone in the study on the couch with the drink in his hand.

I can see how stressed he is, but he should have known better than ignoring his daughter by listening to mom.

I cleared my throat to get his attention.

"father"

he sat up straight

"Reagan, son. come here."

I stand in front of him instead of seating beside him.

he didn't comment on that.

"what is going to happen to mom?"

I asked him

"King decided to dethrone your mother."

I nodded at that. I am not surprised. I expected worse but since she was queen they cant directly put but in the dungeon.

dethroning her will be worse punishment for her than living in a dungeon.

"did you knew about Elora being Fae?"

"No, I found out today only"

I replied to him.

"Ingrid attacked Elora"

"what? when? Is Elora okay?"

"Elora is unconscious but she'll be okay."

"does Prince Caspian knows about this? you didn't tell him right?"

I raised my brow at him

"what, you know Dragon kingdom is not very happy with us if they find out Ingrid tried to kill their future queen we will be in trouble."

I scoff at him. Yeah, right he is not concerned about Elora at all he just wants to protect his throne.

"Prince Caspian knows and I would never hide anything like that from him. they are mates."

"what do you mean by that? don't you want to protect our kingdom?"

he asked me with the scowl on his face

"I know exactly how to protect our kingdom and my family both. Elora is my sister even if you don't want to accept her as your daughter. I have let her down before but I won't do it now."

with that, I left him their fuming

I should have known better, my family is just not what I expected. I wish aunt would have been here to see El, she would have been so happy to see how perfect a person Elora's mate is. she won't live a life like her"

Elora's POV___

I stirred in bed.

mmm, it's so soft. but wait, as I can remember, my bed is not that soft actually, I don't even have a bed.

then where am I?

I opened my eyes alarmed. room is dark I can't see anything.

The curtains are not down so I can see stars in the sky. it's still night.

then I noticed someone is there, besides me in bed.

oh my God. how I got here. last thing u remembered I was in the throne room floating in the air and Caspian.

the hand around my stomach tighten a bit.

my heart rate increase.

Caspian, it's Caspian.

I blew a sigh of relief. I thought I am with someone else.

I can't see his face in the darkroom but I know it's him by the sparks I am feeling wherever his hands are touching me.

my back is facing his front so I tried to wiggle and turn around to face him but his hold tighten around me and a low growl escape from his mouth.

I jump up in the bed startled, I was about to fall off the bed when he pulls me into him. we are so close. I can feel his chest heaving and I am damn sure he can hear my fast heartbeats.

"where are you going?"

"nowhere " I squeak.

his weight shifted in the bed and I think he is hovering over me I can't see but can feel.

feeling my lack of vision he turn on the table lamp.

"thanks"

I tell him but stop from saying another word when I took in his appearance.

he is shirtless.

my mouth turns dry, I gup nervously.

I avert my eyes from him immediately.

he places his fingers under my chin and turns my face around to look at him.

I blush at the sight.

"haven't you seen a shirtless man before?"

I shook my head

his eyes darkened

"well then you can see now, and ill prefer you seeing me naked than any other male. "

my eyes widen at his statement and my blush reaches down to my neck.

I can feel my ears are hot.

he smirks at that

"I like when you blush"

I don't know how to reply to that.

I try to cover my face with my hands but he stops me and places both hands above my head using his left hand.

he leans in to remove hairs out of my face.

"you are so. beautiful do you know that?"

I really don't know how to respond, why can't I respond to his complaint.

I was too lost in his gray eyes that I don't remember when his hand trailed down from my face to my make and slowly to my collar bone.

he stopped at the base of my neck and lean in to place a soft kiss there.

my breath hitches at the touch of his soft lips.

he continues to kiss his way up.

I tilted my nake to give him better access.

but he stopped and growled.

I looked at him panicked.

did I do something wrong?

his eyes are closed and breathing heavily.

"w...what happened?"

I can feel he is angry at something, is it me?

"I..i..."

I trailed off when I didn't find anything to say to comfort him.

I don't know why he is mad how am I supposed to calm him down.

I place my hand on his chest.

I can feel his heart beating against my palm.

his eyes snap open.

"I am sorry princess but I have to go now. there is some emergency"

I node at him.

"it's okay if you want to leave, you don't have to lie about having some emergency"

I blurred out

I placed my hand on my mouth shocked.

he frowned at me his eyes dark.

"what did you say?"

"nothing" I replied quickly.

"why would I lie to you?"

he growled out

"How did you know there is some emergency now without anyone informing you?"

I questioned him

"he chuckles at that.

what is so funny

I frown at him

" James mind linked me to meet him right now. that's how I know."

mind link.

"you can mind link like werewolves?"

I asked him."yes princess I can. and you will also be able to do that when I mark you."

my eyes widen at that.

"don't think too much. I would never want to leave you alone."

I nodded at him embarrassed

"don't go out, my guards are outside. if you want anything just tell them. okay?"

"yes," I tell him

"get some sleep it's still early to wake up.".

with that, he hops out of the bed.

then only I noticed I am not in my clothes from last evening.

who changed my clothes. I am wearing an oversized jumper which must belong to Caspian.

I can tell that because it smells like him.

Caspian came out of the walk-in closet all dressed up in black jeans and a white button-up shirt.

he must have seen my expression because he answered my unasked question.

" one of my mother's maids changed your clothes.".

I sigh in relief. he came closer and kisses me on the forehead before heading out.
