Outcasting Ex-Mate

Elora's POV___

I ate one and half pancakes from my plate that's it. I can't eat anymore. so I just pick on my food.

Caspian and King were having a conversation on some documents they have to review once they get back.

Queen Scarlet wasn't taking any interest in their conversation so I thought this is the time for me to ask some questions about my mother and her relation.

I remember Reg telling me about their friendship.

I turn to her, where should I start?

what should I even ask her first?

"Umm Queen Scarlet I..."

she put her fork down to give me her full attention.

she smiled at me.

"I know what you want to ask me."

my eyes widen at her statement.

"you do?"

I ask.

"yes"

was her reply.

"well then can you..."

I was cut off by her.

"no, not now. this is not the right time or place to have that conversation. but you need to work on one thing on priority"

I grow my brows at that.

"what?"

"Call me mom, you are not allowed to call me by my title when we are alone."

she told me with a stern face and finally in her voice"

I nodded at her with a smile.

"sure mom"

her face broke into a smile.

she hugs me tight.

"I have waited for 18 years for this moment."

I didn't understand what she exactly means by that but I guess I will ask her later.

I think I can manage to wait for few more days to get my answers.

who knows she may know about the person who sent that letter to me.

My chain of thoughts was cut short by the guard announcing the presence of Alpha James.

"Good Morning your Highness"

he bowed once in front of us.

"Good morning Alpha James, you must be here for business since you are being too formal,"

commented Queen scarlet or I can say, mom.

it feels so foreign on my young but I think I will get used to it.

"yes, your highness. As per prince Caspian's request, we have taken Liam White, next in line to be second in command of Fae King into our custody during the Red moon ball when prince Caspian found him harassing Princess Elora in the hallway of Fae castle. "

I clutch my fist full of my dress to stop panicking.

Caspian's eyes darken at the mention of the event.

Dragon King Riordan's face turns hard.

Queen scarlet or mom I could say put her hand on my shoulder and squiz it to comfort me.

"Call all king and queens to the throne room for the trial."

King Riordan roared.

I flinch at his tone.

Caspian neared me just to wrap me in her arms to comfort me.

it did work, I feel my heartbeat slowed down and I start to take deep breaths.

"it's okay, princess. I've got you."

he cooed me.

I lean into him enjoying his warm embrace.

"Elora dear do you think you can come with us for trial? you don't have to if you are not comfortable."

King Riordan asks me in a fatherly tone.

I was taken aback by his concerned words and expression, my father never looked at me or talked to me like this.

I wanted to tell him that I don't want to go there, I am not ready to face liam but scarlet replied on my behalf instead.

"She will come, she has to."

I looked at her hearing her words.

how could she demand me to go there?

when I gaze into her eyes I saw that she meant it.

"You can't tell her what to do mom if she is not ready..."

Caspian started but got cut off by his mother.

"I can tell her to do it and she will do it. she is not a normal teenager. I know it is difficult for her to face that man but she has to do it. she is the future queen of not only the Dragon kingdom but all supernatural species. "

she explained.

"Honey, I think you are being too hard on her. just give her..."

King tried to convince her but stopped in the middle of a sentence when he saw her stern look.

she turns to me and takes both of my hands in her.

"I know you are feeling like I am forcing you into something that you are not comfortable to do but trust me these small things will help you to be strong. you can't be broken by the other man who did something wrong, you don't have to hide from anyone. you are the future queen you have power in your hands. show everyone you are capable of handling things."

she is right, I am not the one to blame or hide in this situation. I didn't do anything wrong. I have to face my fears.

I nodded at her.

"I understand what you are saying. I will come."

She smiled at me.

"thank you, mom."

I thank her with a small smile on my face.

She pulls me in a tight hug. she wipes my tear-stained cheeks.

then only I realize I was crying.

I turn around only to find both King Riordan and Caspian gone.

only me and mom are present in the room.

"I told them to give us some privacy,"

she told me.

After making sure I don't look like I was crying I step out of the bathroom of Caspian's room only to find him standing there waiting for me to come out.

After the talk with mom, Caspian took me back to his room. we have to be there in the throne room for trial in the next 15 minutes.

"Are you sure you want to go?"

Caspian ask me again.

"Yes, Caspian I am sure."

I assured him with a smile.

he kissed me on the forehead and embrace me for few moments.

sparks flew at our proximity.

"I think we should go now or we will be late."

I whispered to him. I want to step out of his embrace but we can't be late.

he groans and pulls away.

"let's go,"

he grumbles.

I chuckle at his behavior.

"What is so funny,"

he asked me with the smirk playing on his lips.

"nothing"

I replied instantly.

we both make our way into the throne room.

air shifts once we enter the room.

I can see why, apparently my mate Caspian is the reason for that.

he is in his Prince Caspian's mode where he uses his strong aura to dominate over everyone. even the present members are king and queen of various species they are affected by his presence.

his face is stern not giving anything away.

I was not that much affected by his dark aura but I can, however, feel the dominance of his presence.

I saw Reg is also present in the room next to Fae king Xander.

All the King and Queens are present except Angeline.

she is not here.

not like I mind though.

Soon after doorman announces the presence of Dragon King Riordan and Queen Scarlet.

they both walked into the throne room crown resting on their heads.

Alpha James comes forward to announce the reason for the urgent meet.

"Your highness, I present the Liam white, next in line to be second in command of Fae King for the crime of harassing future Dragon queen Princess Elora at Red moon ball."

I can hear some gasps.

the door of the throne room opened to reveal chained Liam.

two guards drag him in front of the throne where King Riordan and Queen scarlet are sitting.

the guards make him fell to his knees.

he didn't look the the the same though. it's like the person in front of me is not the same man who rejected me and abused me. maybe he has realized his mistakes.

he lifts his head to look at me.

I was proven wrong when I met his gaze, his eyes held the same feelings. hatred for me.

I Vince at his gaze but try to not let to show it on my face.

"Elora I would like you to decide what his punishment would be."

I was taken aback by King Riordan's words.

how am I supposed to decide that, it's not like my daily work to punish people?

seeing my surprised face Caspian put his hand on my waist and pull me closer to comfort me.

he looks at his father and says.

"I think executing him in front of all royals would be the best punishment. no one would ever think to do such a thing next time."

Caspian growled.

"I understand what you are feeling Caspian but I would like to hear it from Princess Elora. do you want to give him a death sentence princess Elora?"

Queen scarlet asked.

Now everyone's eyes are focused on me. I can hear my heartbeat in the silence.

Do I want Liam dead?

"No"

Did I say that out loud, didn't I?

great. now Caspian looks pissed but I have to do what I think is right. I don't him to die.

not now, not that easily.

"well then tell us what should be his punishment?"

King Riordan asks.

I know how exactly I want Liam to be punished, I just thought is not more than what he deserved but if they can sentence him a death then what I am going to tell them is not that bad.

I breathe deeply.

"I want Liam white to be banished from Fae Castle and the supernatural world."

everyone's eyes widen at my words.

King Riordan nodded at me and I can see a slight smile on queen scarlet's face.

I gazed at Liam who has not spoken a single word since he was bought here.

I see he was trying to say something but not able to.

Maybe I am overthinking again.

I turn my gaze at Caspian who seems not too please with my decision.

"Liam white is banished from the supernatural world. no one is allowed to have any contact with him. he should live on his own in the human world as one without taking any help from his family or anyone from our world. whoever will try to help him will get punished severely."

King Riordan's voice boomed.

with that said two guards pulled Liam to his feet and drag him out of the throne room.

While liam was dragged out Liam's eyes never leave mine.

Caspian's hold tightens on me when he saw that.

I put my hand on his chest to calm him down.

After that everyone was dismissed from the throne room.

Reg makes his way towards me and pulls me in a hug.

I hug him back with a smile on my face.

I can see Caspian is tense when Reg hugs me but I didn't bother.

he is my brother the only family I have.

"I am so proud of you El, you did so well today."

he praised me.

I just smile at him and nodded.

he pulls out of the big and turns to face Caspian.

"At what time you guys are leaving?"

he asks him.

"we will leave after lunch at 2 pm."

Caspian replied.

my heart picks up at the information.

I am finally leaving this place. I still can't believe this is happening.

it's still 10 in the morning.

I don't think I will ever be ready to come back here again so before I leave I have to pay a visit to my grandmother.

I haven't seen her for a long time.

I must visit her before I start my new life.

I turn to Caspian.

"Caspian"

I called him to get his attention.

I didn't saw when Alpha James came over and started to discuss something h with Reg and Caspian.

"yes, princess?"

All three pairs of eyes turned to me.

my cheeks heated at the attention.

"I... I wanted to go visit my grandmother before we leave."

I tell him.

he nodded at me.

"Okay, no problem we can go now to get back before lunch,"

he tells me.

I grin at his replay.
