Zayne’s POV The envelope is waiting on my desk when I get to the office. Thick. Cream-colored. Too clean. Too deliberate. I know who it’s from before I touch it. Jake. My jaw tightens as I close the door behind me. The glass walls of the office feel like they’re closing in, like they know something is about to die in this room. I slide a finger under the seal and pull the papers out. Divorce documents. Forged. Perfectly formatted.
