I WISH IT HADN'T BEEN Alex's pov Today felt different. I arrived forty minutes early. Not because there was more work. The work was exactly what it always was on a Monday — the accumulated decisions of the weekend sorted and waiting, the week's agenda assembled, nothing that could not have waited until eight forty-seven.
