Chintya didn't know what to do. She could only sit still, her body felt stiff, caught between fear and confusion. She tried to figure out who these people were and what they wanted, but her brain felt full and it was difficult to think clearly.
After some time that felt like forever, the car stopped suddenly. The door opened again, and someone pulled her out roughly. The blindfold was removed, but before her eyes could adjust to the light, she was pushed into a dark and stuffy room.
"Stay here and don't try to escape," the voice said again, this time colder and sharper. The door slammed shut, leaving Chintya alone in the room.
