Ayesha laughed, her laughter ringing in Erwin’s ears. “You sure know how to make me feel better. It may take time, but I don’t want to stay down. I have to get back up.”
“And I’ll be here every step of the way,” Erwin answered sincerely, trying to give his full support. “You’re not alone in this fight, remember that.”
Hearing Erwin’s words, Ayesha felt touched. “Thank you, Erwin. I really appreciate all of this. Sometimes, I feel like I’m fighting alone, but when you’re here, I feel like there’s hope.”
“I’m not just here to have fun. We can get through this together, no matter what,” Erwin affirmed, looking at Ayesha with sincerity.
“Okay, I’ll try to be more positive,” Ayesha nodded, taking a bite of her last cookie. “So, what’s your next plan? Maybe we can do something fun today?”
