" Finally, home", said Heidi to herself, as she pulled into her driveway. She actually had the thought, that perhaps she could ask Michael to clear out the garage more, for Heidi to have a parking spot. That way Heidi could pull in and not even have to step foot outside. Michael worked full time at HVAC, however, he was real crafty, and hoarding, and repairing old furniture, and trinkets was a hobby of his; so needless to say that the garage was pretty full of his crap. This was ridiculous, of course Heidi would have to go outside, what about Mimi! She couldn't just become a recluse, and shut herself in. Was she really going to let these elderly, continue to walk all over her, to the point they make a agoraphobic out of her. Absolutely, not! As she pulled into the driveway, she looked around, no old man wearing a baseball cap, no one in sight. The only car she saw was a black, sedan with super tinted windows, a Honda Accord, it appeared to be. She couldn't see the license plate, without having to walk over to the car. She wasn't about ready to go and do that. She heard Mimi at the window, giving her a greeting. She could always count on Mimi. Mimi was probably the reason she didn't get harassed by the whisperers while out walking her. I mean who would want to mess with a 90lb German Shepard, Heidi thought.
" Hey Mimi, did you miss me girl?," Heidi asked. Mimi gave her a little howl bark, as if to answer yes. " I know, I know, it's time for a W", Heidi said, as Mimi started to prance, back and forth, at the excitement, of Heidi getting her harness, and leash ready.
So much for Heidi gathering her thoughts, while she sat on the couch. Animals can be similar to children, sometimes things don't always go as planned. Michael was still at work, but Heidi would have to discuss, the Walmarts episode, along with a few other things when he got home. She would have to have him put that motion camera up, she couldn't continue to have strangers rummaging around through her yard, while she slept, or home alone. Heidi then saw the white Cadillac Escalade SUV, drive right by her house. Of course no driver could be seen through the tint. Where is that car coming from, and do they even live in the neighborhood? Heidi wondered. During her stroll through the park, with Mimi; she noted an unusual amount of people out. There was a mom with her two small children, a group of teenagers playing basketball, and the same elderly couple from Walmarts, only now they had the wheelchair girl with them again. There was a middle aged man sitting on a bench, reading a paper; and not far from him was Mrs Winslow decked out in a gold running suit, making her way through the park as she waved to everyone she saw. " Excuse me, Mrs Winslow," Heidi said as she approached the elderly woman. "Yes dear, what's the matter?," Mrs Winslow asked. "I am actually wondering if you have noted any talking trees, or weird buzzing/humming sounds coming from outside your window?", " I also wonder if you happen to know who that couple is pushing that lady in the wheelchair?," Heidi asked. " I have been seeing them all around, yet I don't recall any new neighbors moving in!" Heidi added. " Oh you mean the Merkels, dear?", " They live in the old Grant home, that lady they are pushing is their daughter, she has cerebral palsy", Mrs Winslow said with a bit of condemnation on her tongue. " What do you mean about talking trees, and buzzing bees by my window?" Mrs Winslow asked her. " Dear, are you ok, you don't seem well", said Mrs Winslow to Heidi. " Honestly, Mrs Winslow, I haven't been getting good sleep lately, and I have been experiencing some things, that have me a little concerned," " Other than that, I suppose I'm just dandy", " Thank you Mrs Winslow, have a good rest of your day!" Heidi said as she pulled Mimi's leash to continue about on their walk. Well that went awful, Heidi thought. I don't get it. Why is everyone acting so strange lately, I mean sure everyone was strange after Kora, but now, it's almost like there is some smear campaign against me, the way people keep acting like I'm mentally ill, while they don't ever see or hear anything strange, except for me, thought Heidi. She just will have to speak with Michael, and get his take on it. She trust his opinion. Since when did the Grant house even become empty, what happened to Mr and Mrs Grant? I don't recall ever seeing any moving truck, or even know that the Grants no longer lived in that home. I wonder if Michael knew the Grants no longer lived there. Of course, he didn't say anything to Heidi, and Michael always tells Heidi every little thing he notes. Hmmm, just another thing to add to the list of strange oddities. So far, two suspicious cars seem to be popping up all around, the old man wearing the baseball cap, the whisperers from Walmarts, the Merkels, who also were with the whisperers, talking trees, and buzzing that's not bees near my window, Heidi thought to herself. Just then Heidi heard what clearly sounded like a woman's voice, calling Heidi help us. Heidi looked around, this time it was almost like someone who was further away, but she heard it. "Heidi, please help us", said the female voice again. " Who is that, how do you know my name, who are you, where are you?" Heidi shouted into the air. "What is going on", Heidi exclaimed! "Heidi we really need your help," " Pleaseeee", this time it was a man's voice that sounded like her friend Aaron. " Hang on," " I will find you all, and call for help", Heidi told the voices reassuringly. "Oh my God, what the fudge is going on, and dear God, what do I do!? " Heidi exclaimed. This is serious, oh my goodness, it sounds like friends of mine are in some serious trouble. I need Michael's help, I can't do this by myself. The sounds from the voices seemed to come near the direction of the old Grants, now the Merkels's homestead. With Mimi in tow, she walked up near behind where the Grant house is. She could see there were lights on but the shades were drawn tight. She couldn't make out any sort of movement within the house. Should she call 911, and report suspicious sounds from the Grants? Heidi wondered. She has to do something, people are obviously in trouble and in need of assistance. Heidi didn't know what was going on, except that it has the smell of cult written all over it. "Come on Mimi", " We are going back home, at least there i can gather my thoughts, and see if Michael got home yet.
