"So...is this a threat?" - Carson asked governor Wellington, with a straight face. His eyes were investigating the man's body language, wondering what he had to hide.
"Consider yourself warned" - Wellington replied, in just an icy tone, using the power of his position, trying to bend Carson as per his will. "I used my influence to put you in that investigation, and now I am using it again to stop causing more pain than it's necessary. The case is already closed, the victim is buried. So let the dead rest in peace."
