The First Sparkepisode2

Aira didn’t know why her heart felt heavier that day, but she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was about to change. It started with a message. Her phone buzzed during lunch, and she looked down to see an unknown number. “You don’t know me, but I need to talk to you.” Aira stared at the message, confused. She didn’t know anyone who would send something like that — and she certainly didn’t know why someone would want to talk to her Before she could reply, another message came. “Don’t ignore me. Meet me at the old library after school.” Aira’s mind raced. The old library was the one place everyone avoided — the one place where students said strange things happened. Aira had never gone there, not even once. Her friends noticed her strange silence. “Aira, you okay?” one of them asked. She forced a smile. “I’m fine.” But she wasn’t. The day passed slowly, each second like a countdown. Aira tried to focus in class, but her thoughts kept returning to the messages. After school, she walked toward the old library. Her steps were hesitant, like she was approaching something dangerous. When she pushed the heavy door open, the air inside felt cold — like the building had been holding its breath for years. She saw someone standing in the middle of the room. Noah. He looked different up close. Less like a perfect image and more like a real person. His eyes were intense, his expression serious. There was no smile. No charm. Just a look that said he had something important to say. “Aira,” he said quietly. Her heart thudded. “How did you know I would come?” she asked, trying to sound calm. Noah’s gaze didn’t move. “Because I knew you’d be curious.” Aira swallowed. “Why did you text me?” Noah hesitated, as if choosing his words carefully. “Because I needed to tell you something. Something I shouldn’t say in front of everyone.” Aira’s stomach tightened. “What is it?” Noah took a step closer, lowering his voice. “I think someone is watching you.” Aira froze. “What do you mean?” she whispered. Noah’s eyes flashed with urgency. “I mean you’re not safe. Not here. Not with her.” Aira’s mind raced. Her? She knew exactly who he meant. Ivy. “I don’t understand,” Aira said. Noah’s expression turned sharp. “You will. Just promise me you’ll be careful.” Aira looked at him, confused and scared. “Why are you protecting me?” Noah’s voice softened. “Because I don’t want you to become another secret in my life.” The air between them felt electric. Aira’s heart was beating fast, and she realized something in that moment — Noah wasn’t just interested in her. He was connected to her in a way she couldn’t explain. And Ivy… Ivy wasn’t just jealous. She was dangerous. Aira didn’t know what was happening, but she knew one thing for sure: Her life was changing. And the space between two hearts was getting smaller — whether she was ready or not.
