I was just a mere being without my wolf. The story behind the death of my wolf was a long one that I don't want to remember anymore.
"I'm leaving tomorrow night! I have decided what to do, and that's what I will do." I grabbed the ointment from Lyon's hand and headed outside.
"Alexia! I know how you feel, I really do, but do you think it's the right thing to do? You know nothing about these people or this place. So why do you want to do this?" Lyon gripped my wrist. I could see how worried he was just by looking at his eyes. He was the only one I had aside from my sister and nephew. But I couldn't just sit and watch my sister ruin her own life daily. She was slowly losing it, and I knew I had to do something.
"I have to go! At least to let Alysa know of my plan. I'm sorry, but my mind is already made up, so there is nothing you will say to me that's going to stop me." My mouth was downturned, my brows furrowed. Although I tried to hide it, my eyes were teary.
"If you say this is what you want, then I won't stop you!" Lyon's tone was low. He was finally accepting that there was nothing he could say to me that would stop me from doing what I wanted to do.
"I will be back. I already have everything sorted out. In no time, everything will be sorted out," I said, and I turned to leave. I looked back at Lyon, and he stood there fighting back his tears. I couldn't look away. I ran back to where he was, and I locked arms with him.
"Alexia… You are hurting yourself," Lyon stuttered.
"No, I'm doing what's right," I replied.
Just like that, I left Lyon's hut and headed home. It was another narrow escape from those heartless villagers. I sighted my sister and her son outside.
"Alexia, how is your wound?" Alysa still cares about me, although she is too cold to open up.
"It's fine now, Lyon helped." I smiled, and she nodded.
"Go in and have something to eat, then rest afterwards." Alyssa's chin was up. She was fighting her pride to say it, and I noticed.
"Thank you… Are you going somewhere?" I asked, noticing her attire. She had no friends, so she wasn't someone to always leave the house.
"I'm going out for a stroll. I'm going with Scar," she said and walked out.
"Be careful…" I voiced out, and she nodded.
I watched my sister leave with Scar. This was probably the last time I was going to see her. I planned on leaving today and set up camp close by Moonlight Park. I already wrote a letter seeking the position of a maid, and I got a positive response. All I needed to do was get ready and leave.
I started walking around our old hut, setting everything in place, including Alexia's herbs. It was going to be a long time away from home.
"There is no way I can say it to her face," I sighed. It was going to be difficult, and I didn't want to open any closed wounds. I just wanted my sister to be happy and for them to pay.
I grabbed ink and a sheet of paper, and I started to write to my dear sister. My tears dropped onto the sheet. I was doing what was best for her. She needed closure, and there was no way I was going to watch her die slowly in pain when I could get revenge for her. I kept the letter close to her dressing mirror, and I headed for my hut. I had already packed the essentials I needed and was ready to leave.
I stood at the hill, my eyes gazing at our small hut across the hill. I wished I could at least go back and give Lyon a big hug. He was now in charge of my sister and her son.
"I will be back…" I said and started my journey.
The night hung heavy as I stepped into the woods, the moon lighting my path. The air smelled like pine, and wolf howls echoed around, giving me a chill.
As I walked deeper, the tension grew. Suddenly, a pack of wolves surrounded me. Fear gripped me, but out of nowhere, a guy jumped in, scaring the wolves away. He had intense eyes and looked rugged but safe.
"Are you alright?" he asked, helping me up. My heart was still racing, and words came out shaky.
"I... I think so," I managed, grateful for his help.
He introduced himself as Elias, a hunter living on the edge of Moonlight Pack territory. Relieved to have someone with me, I followed him to his simple hunting house nestled in the trees.
"Let me check those wounds," Elias said, motioning toward a bed.
As he patched me up, we talked. He asked what I was doing here and I said i was heading somewhere far from the woods but I didn't disclose my mission and destination . Elias spoke of the challenges of living in the wild. The candle's flicker made shadows dance on the walls, creating a cozy vibe.
" Do you by any chance know the Alpha of moonlight park??" I asked and Elias looked at me like he was about to give me an answer and he shaked his head.
" I'm just an hunter and I only live here in the woods" Elias said and I nodded.
" Okay then…."
As the night went on, we connected. Elias opened up, sharing his own struggles. In that shared pain, we found comfort. The weight on my shoulders felt lighter.
Our conversation shifted, and a silent understanding grew. The air crackled with desire, a longing for connection in a world full of betrayal.
In the quiet night, our eyes met, and our lips touched. The kiss spoke of shared pain and solace. The boundaries blurred, passion mixed with the shadows.
Elias and I lay together, His touch was gentle and smooth,We had s*x.
When morning's light began to seep through the trees, Elias and I lay entwined, the lines of our connection etched in the aftermath of shared catharsis. The weight of our individual burdens felt momentarily lifted, replaced by the comfort found in each other's arms.
"I should go," Elias whispered, a hint of sadness in his voice.
Reality hit, and with a lingering kiss, Elias left. As he vanished into the woods, I felt gratitude and newfound strength. Our night had been a brief escape, a reminder that connections could light our path even in the dark.
