Eloise’s POV

Mates. We were mates.

I was mated to an absolute psychopath. Before I could process his words, Axel spoke again.

"Take off your clothes," he commanded me, his voice leaving no room for negotiation.

I took a deep breath, my heart pounding harder than ever as I reached to remove my dress. I pulled it over my head, my body shivering in the cold as I stood in front of him.

I could feel my skin prickling with goosebumps as he took his time, looking at me from my head to my toe. His eyes scanned over my whole body like a touch.

"Turn around," he ordered. I had no other option than to immediately comply, my cheeks flushing as I displayed myself to him.

Silence covered the distance between us as he looked at me, the excitement building up in my body, something I couldn’t bring myself to control, my body had already started betraying me.

"Kneel." He hissed.

Without wasting any moment, I quickly dropped to my knees, my eyes lay on the ground as my heart pounded in my ears.

I tried to calm my breathing, my mind racing as I waited to know what his next command would be.

I should have been afraid…but my fear was giving way to something else.

“Lie on the bed,” he said, his voice drifting me out of my thoughts. I walked onto the bed, my eyes on the floor not daring to look at him as I climbed onto the high mattress.

He seemed to be playing with me— knowing that even if he ordered me to lock the floors I would.

“Spread your legs and lie back.” He shot back.

Taking a deep breath, I obeyed quickly, after all, I was nothing but a slave. I laid back on the black sheets.

They were cold; soft against my bare skin as I trembled, spreading my legs for him, my full body on display like an artifact.

I could feel the arousal in my own body growing, I hated this, why was my body betraying me for this cold-hearted man?

He stood at the end of the bed, his eyes traveling up and down my body, stopping for a moment on my wide legs before turning to face me.

He said nothing, instead he stretched out his hands, using his finger to trail my ankle down to the inside of my wide-spread legs.

His fingers continued their journey up my leg finally reaching for the organ between.

“You’re ready aren't you?” He mocked.

“Please, Sir..” I begged, my mind racing with the way my body betrayed me with his touch. Fear merged with desire and I could barely breathe

“Please, what?” He asked, his fingers stopping for a moment as he looked at me.

I begged, his dark eyes shining in the dull chamber lightroom as the words escaped my lips. “Not yet.”

“Do you mean that? If you mean it…I'll let you go.” My mate asked. His eyes twinkled.

He knew I wouldn't be able to resist. As a human, I had no wolf.

But there was still the burning sensation to be claimed by him.

So I kept quiet, staring at him because I had nothing else to say.

The next thing I felt was a cold metal against my wrists.

Cuffs.

Axel was careful, checking each cuff before he moved on to the next one.

His hands brushed against my skin as he bound my hands. I was helpless, bound to the bed as he stood over me. He was in control, my body trembling as I surrendered to him.

I felt his hands running over my back down my ass. His fingers brushed against my sensitive hole as he explored me….

“Do you want me to stop? I've given my word to let you go.” He asked, his voice cold, carrying no single form of pity or emotion.

“N…no, Sir”, I replied, my voice cracking— betraying me. I wanted him to stop, but my body said otherwise.

I felt his hands stroking me in slow, strong circles. I was close, close enough to explode and it would only take a single tough to send me over the edge.

Before I knew what was happening, he was already inside me, filling my body roughly. I was helpless, bound to the bed as he took what he wanted from me.

I did as he asked.

But that information immediately slips by.

A terrible pain racked through my body, outshining even the pleasure I felt. Every single bone in my body felt like it was being shattered.

My skin was on fire; I was in hell.

As I wiggled in pain, I felt Axel come out from my body.

He released me, stepping back as if I was nothing more than a stupid mistake he had just made. Without another look at me, he just turned and walked away.

My body shuddered in pain for a long while.

We humans can never be mates with wolves.

It was impossible, crazy, and forbidden. The silence swallowed me whole.

The cold in the room crept into my skin, clinging to broken pieces of my soul at his rejection.

He had pleasured me, taking bits of me before shattering my heart completely.

At that moment when he was ready to let me go— a thing that lycans never did— I felt hope.

I thought I had found someone who would protect me.

I believed for a single moment that I was finally his.

The first wave of pain was over. But as I made to leave the room in my shame, I felt it.

The second wave of rejection.

A sharp pain pressed in my stomach as my breaths came in shallow gasps. The pain was so unbearable, a heat that burned like fire pulsing through my veins.

My vision blurred, and I staggered trying to reach for the door for help, for anyone to help me and take pity on me.

But I collapsed to the ground, wailing for all to hear.
