CHAPTER 7: Adrian
––––––––
Adrian wasn’t giving up. He’d spent the last week thinking about Ellie and all of tonight flirting with her. He needed her in his bed, naked and panting for him. His tequila-soaked brain stumbled over conversations, looking for a lie that he could prove.
“Poor baby is going to go home with nothing but his hand tonight.” Ellie patted his cheek.
“That was rude.” Alison handed her the bottle. “Drink.”
Ellie wrinkled her face.
“Maybe she should switch to water,” suggested Harker.
“No.” Alison leaned across Adrian, hugging Ellie. “You’re fine, right?”
“Yep.” Ellie hugged her back, both of them resting on Adrian’s chest. “You’re the best friend ever. I love you.”
“I love you too,” said Alison. “Now, put on your big girl panties and take that drink.”
“Right.” Ellie leaned away slightly, tipping the bottle to her mouth.
“That’s it.” Adrian’s synopses in his brain finally sputtered to life. “She said my sister was my girlfriend and she was definitely wrong about that.” He’d won. She couldn’t talk her way out of this one. His hand landed on her ass. It was his tonight, every lush inch. He grinned down at her, but his smile fled as tequila flew from Ellie’s mouth straight at him.
