CHAPTER 28:  Ellie

CHAPTER 28: Ellie –––––––– Ellie woke, stretching. She felt great but a little sore. It was definitely a good kind of sore. A great s*x kind of sore. Her eyes popped open. She didn’t remember falling asleep. The last thing she remembered was Adrian’s large body draped over hers after the best orgasm she’d ever had. She’d actually come twice. Lord help her, there’d be no dealing with the man’s ego now. She rolled over and glanced around the room. She was alone. She scooted toward his side of the bed and buried her face in his pillow. Damn, he smelled as good as he looked. She inhaled deeply before rolling back to her side of the bed. She could not let him catch her doing that. He was arrogant enough. “Good morning. I like how you smell too.” Adrian’s deep, sexy voice made her jump. This was so embarrassing. How much had he seen? Hopefully, not everything. “I wasn’t...I was looking for a clock.” “With you face buried in my pillow?” He laughed. “You are such a liar.” “No, I’m not.” She held the covers to her chest and sat up. “I was looking...” She lost her train of thought or maybe her ability to think. Adrian leaned against the bedroom door frame. He had on a pair of loose, gray sweats that hung low on his lean hips. He wore nothing else, no shoes, socks or more importantly shirt. His chest was just as sexy as she’d remembered. Large and muscular with a light sprinkling of hair that trailed downward where a large bulge formed in his once loose pants. “Keep looking at me like that and you’re going to make me late to my parents’ house.” He sauntered to the bed and leaned down. She fell back, trying her best to keep from making contact. If he touched her, she’d probably grab him and ride him like a bronco. He followed her to the mattress, bracing one arm on each side of her. She was trapped and she loved it. His beautiful green eyes locked with hers until they closed as he kissed her softly. She melted at the tenderness and then incinerated as he pulled down the blanket, planting a hot, wet kiss on each of her breasts, right next to her n*****s. One of her hands stroked his arm while the other skimmed through his hair, telling him in no uncertain terms to stay right where he was. “These are too tempting to resist.” He pulled a n****e into his mouth, causing her body to arch toward him like she was his puppet. He smiled up at her, his hot breath tickling her wet and sensitive bud. “And you’re gorgeous enough that I think my mom would understand me being late for Christmas.” “What?” s**t. Damn. It was Christmas. “Don’t worry. I won’t tell her the real reason.” His grin widened and then slipped away as his mouth lowered to her n****e, sucking. For one second her hand tightened in his hair, pulling him closer. She wanted this man. The tug on her breast was making her p***y tight and needy but it was Christmas. She had to get to her parents’ house. He moved to the other n****e, his fingers playing with the abandoned one. She sighed, her legs drifting open for him. Maybe they had time. The room was still mostly dark; only a bit of light crept through the drapes. “What time is it?” She pulled his head closer. He trailed kisses down her chest, pushing the covers out of his way. Oh, sweet Jesus, he was going to go down on her again. Desire pooled between her legs. “Adrian.” She ran her fingers up and down his arms, loving the feel of those strong biceps. “What time is it?” “Time to fuck.” He grabbed her hand, placing it on his d**k. She squeezed, helping him to grow with her touch as his hand slipped between her legs. “No, what time is it really? I have to be at my parents’ house at one.” Her legs spread for him, giving him all the access that he needed as she slid her hand inside his sweats and grabbed his c**k. “Please tell me they live close by. Really close.” His thumb teased her c**t. “No, they live about an hour away from my place and I have to go home first.” She pulled her hands from his pants. “What time is it?” He flopped over her, landing on his side of the bed. “I was afraid you were going to say that. It’s almost noon.” “What?” She jumped from the bed. “I’m going to be late. I’ve got to go. Where are my clothes?” “On the chair.” He sat up, watching her with an amused expression on his face. “Damn it. I never sleep this late.” She yanked on her dress, not even bothering with her underwear and bra. “I have to go home, shower—” “You can shower here.” His eyes roamed up and down her body. “Like that’ll save time.” He shrugged. “We can make it quick. I take superfast showers.” “I don’t have time for a quickie.” He hopped from the bed. “It’s a perfect solution. You need to shower, and you don’t want to spend Christmas at your parents’ all tense with s****l desire.” “I’ll survive.” She grabbed her shoes and slid them on. “Purse?” “Living room by the couch.” He followed her out of the bedroom. “Great. Thanks.” She pulled her phone from her purse and headed for the door. “What? No kiss goodbye?” She paused. She was being kind of rude. “It was fun. Thanks.” “Ouch.” He put his hand over his heart. “Please.” She laughed as she stepped out the door, pressing a button on her phone. “Mom. Yeah. No. Everything’s fine.” She may as well tell her now. “Ah...actually, Marc and I broke up.” She walked down the stairs. “No. I’m fine. I’m just running late.” She glanced at her phone. “I should be there around two. I’ll try and get there earlier but...let’s plan on two. Okay. Love you. See you then.” She hung up and stopped in the parking lot. She didn’t have her car. “Need a lift.” Adrian grinned down at her from the balcony. “Ah...yeah. Thanks.” She ran her hands over her arms. It was cold outside. He headed down the stairs, carrying a gym bag. His hair was wet, and he wore jeans and a T-shirt with a hoodie. “You showered and changed already?” “I told you I took quick showers.” He pressed his key fob, unlocking the doors before popping the trunk and dropping his gym bag inside. “Did you use soap?” She got into the car. “Of course.” He slid into the driver’s side. “I even cleaned all my naughty parts.” He glanced at her as he started the car. “You’re welcome to check if you want. Next time, I’ll let you do the cleaning. It’ll be a lot more fun that way, but the shower will take a little longer.” “I hope so. Speed Racer isn’t my type.” “You had no complaints last night.” “Like I said, it was fun.” “Fun?” He frowned at her. “I think it was more than fun for both of us.” He stopped the car at the entrance to the apartment complex. “Where to?” She gave him directions to her apartment, and he pulled onto the main road. “Admit it. It was better than fun.” He glanced at her. “Okay. It was fine.” She winced. Fine was not a word a man wanted to hear about his performance in bed. “Look, I’m sorry. I’m just not looking forward to being late for Christmas and explaining about Marc but that’s not your fault.” Mom would have a hundred questions and she’d feel like a loser again with another failed relationship. “Last night was fun and the s*x was great but that’s all it was. Sex.” “Okay.” He looked at her like she’d freaked out for no reason, which she had. “Oh, god. Now, I’m embarrassed.” She was acting like he wanted more than praise for his performance. “With the way you were going on, I thought that you wanted to see me...Slow down. That’s my apartment up there.” “I know.” He frowned. “That’s why I have the turn signal on.” “Oh. Right.” He pulled into the parking lot of her apartment and stopped the car. “Thank you for the ride and for last night.” She leaned over and kissed him softly. “It was exactly what I needed.” She got out of the car and so did he. “What are you doing?” “I’m going to walk you to your door.” “That’s not necessary.” The entrance to her building was only a few feet away. “It is with your ex still hanging around. I doubt he moved out last night.”
