Dan couldn’t ever remember being glad he’d gotten an emergency call before. In fact, just that morning as he’d stood on the deck enjoying the sunrise, he’d crossed his fingers that nothing would happen to interrupt what seemed to be an idyllic time with Bill. All indications were things were headed in the right direction. That was until Bill had thrown him this curve ball.
