"One, two, three." the coach repeated. Man, what a shame I turned down Paul's request. I wonder what Avriel's doing. "Hey Michelle! Come on! We gotta go! Our practice is done, the third years will be doing more extra works than us." Al called out to me. "Ah- right, alright I'll be there. Just a sec." I stood up and got my duffel bag.
"Hey wanna hang out before we go home?" Al asked. Allison more or less, she prefers to be called Al, one of my Best friends. yeah, she is blonde but trust me she's very smart, third in our class. She's also my club mate. She, Avery and I are all first years who studies in St. Valeria's High schoo. Ever since we entered high school our first goal was to join a clique with massive popularity. And the only clique that fits the description, is the popular kids. "Yeah sure. Wanna go to Aunt's? Heard they have a new special and it's limited time only." She nods as we walked to the bus station.
We sat at the back of the bus. Basically our favorite spot. We waited for a few minutes until we got to our destination.
"So what are you kids up for ordering?" Becky, the waitress asked. "Whatever your limited time offering is." I said. She hummed as she wrote it down on her notepad. "I'll have the same thing." Al said. "You know, I feel so bad that we're eating right after we had practice. I feel so bad." Al admitted. I clicked my tongue, "well it's not like we're part of the cheer dancers. We can still eat out and lose weight." she scoffed at me. "Come on, you think I even gain weight? Never. In. My. Life that happened to me." Our food finally came and Becky put down a glass of smoothie with two straws. "Uh, we didn't order that." We said in unison. "Yeah you did, that's what the limited offer was. You get a smoothie that is big as my two hands combined." She said and went back to getting other customers' orders. I took a glimpse of Al to see if she was finish with her food, to my surprise she hasn't. I mean she would normally finish her food stat after a practice lesson. But to my findings, she was looking at someone. "Hey what's wrong?" I asked. I looked around the diner to see what or who she was looking at. A group of boys I presume. "Are those guys bothering you?" I asked her. "Ah, no no. It's just. They've been looking at you." I looked af the boys across the room. They weren't that older from us. Looks like a bunch of second years. "It's fine. It's not like I like any of them anyways." I sipped in from the smoothie. "Oh come on. With that beauty of a face of yours? You still don't like those guys?" She asked laughing. "It's not the face I'm looking for Al, it's the attitude. I don't care whatever they look like-" I stopped talking when suddenly Paige walked on to us.
"Andrews?" she called up to me. "Um, yes?" I nervously asked her. "Come with me." She demanded. "W-what? But I'm in the middle of something with my friend." I said. "Bring your friend or not whatever just come with me." She said in a pissed out demanding tone. We went out of the diner and went to the bus station. "Are you sure you'll be okay? We are talking about Paige here. The Paige Baker." Al asked with a concerning tone. "I'll be fine, just tell my mom or whoever is in the house that I'll be home late. Okay?" I informed her.
