Epilogue Paolo “The food was exquisite,” Ma gushes as the waitstaff clear our plates. It’s the soft opening of Giovanni’s, Marissa and Gio’s new downtown restaurant. Gio bought a commercial property right on the lake near their apartment, with wall-to-wall windows looking out over the water. People will come here for the views alone, never mind Marissa’s food.
