Ringggg." The Alarm rang as Kavya turned it off and went back to dreaming about her BBC dreams. Kavya was a Reporter in the SkyTV which was not a very famous TV channel in Tamil Nadu compared to their SunTV and VijayTV. Kavya's dream was to get a job in BBC and became a faithful reporter to BBC. That doesn't mean she was unfaithful to the channel she was currently working in. She would risk her life for her channel. This was exactly why she wanted to go find the hidden secrets of the Emerald Forest as known as Maragadha Kaadu by the Tamilians who lived around it. (Maraghadha-Emerald; Kaadu-Forest) "Get Up...kavya..you are gonna be late." Goutham, her brother woke her up. "No...this is Kavya.....reporting back to you.... from BBC" she mumbled in her sleep as she heard a burst of laughter that woke her up. She sat up on her bed and rubbed her eyes and looked in the direction of the laughter that had died out. "Good Morning Reporter." she heard the familiar voice said as her vision cleared. "More like the reporter from BBC." the voice added. "Shut up Arun...it's not like you are the deputy commissioner of Tamilnadu...and you are everything but famous," she said as she got up from her bed. Arun was sitting on the chair dressed in his khaki police uniform with a coffee in his hand. Gautham was standing next to him watching Arun and Kavya. She looked at the clock and gasped as the two guys laughed at her clumsiness. It was 8:15 and she had to get to her channel by 8:30. "Oh no..." she said as she ran into the restroom to get ready. She came back dressed in a Tshirt and Jeans and got her things and ran downstairs to the kitchen. '8:25" the oven clock read as she gave up hurrying as sat down with a coffee in her hand. The two guys followed her downstairs and took a seat next to hers. "ok...bye guys," she said as she went outside and got on her scooty. (A type of bike) She was starting the scooty as Arun and Gautham came outside. Gautham was talking to someone on the phone and started his bike without noticing what was happening. She kept trying to start her scooty but it wouldn't budge. She got down and kicked it as Arun noticed it. "My fate," she mumbled as he laughed. "Sirrikaathey," she said as anger was evident on her face. (don't laugh) "Need a ride, reporter?" Arun asked. "No Thanks... I will ask Gau..." she started as Gautham took off on his bike after putting his phone in his pocket. "aww. vada poche," he said as she glared at him. (This is a Tamil saying which relates to chance is gone. in this case, her last chance of asking her brother for a ride is gone.) "Shut up Arun," she said as he chuckled. "I don't have all day ok? I have a lot of work to do...please hurry and tell me if you need a ride or not," he said. "ya..ya..he is the president of India and he is the busiest man on earth," she said as he made a face at her. "ok...I'm leaving," he said as he started his bike and sped up. "Hey...wait," she said glancing at her watch as he kept going. He stopped a few feets away as she ran to his bike and got on. "I thought Ms.BBC wouldn't get on my bike," he said as she remained quiet. "Kavya? are you asleep?" he asked as it broke her dream bubble. "I was...just thinking... I can't wait to go to the Maraghadha Kaadu." she said. "Ya... Gautham was worried about you going there. It's not safe Kavya." he said. "But... this is my life... he knows how much it is important for me to get into BBC," she said. "shut up Kavya...you don't need to risk your life to get into BBC," he said. "well...think of it this way...aren't you and Anna(brother) risking your lives as police?" she asked. "you will never learn," he said as he stopped. "man... it's late," she said changing the conversation. "why? when should you be there?" he asked. "8:30," she said. "and it's 9 right now," he said as she smiled. "Bye Kavya," Arun said as she walked turning away. She kept walking without turning back as he stood there to make a face at her. she quickly turned and smiled at him. "Bye Mr.Police," she said as he smiled.
