For a brief moment in time, everything stood still as Eli regarded the seaplane with grim eyes, and then he began to move suddenly and with such blinding speed that he caught all of them unawares.
He spun on the surface of the sea and threw the little girl towards the boat. Kara screamed with more surprise than fear as her body arced through the air and she landed on the deck of the boat. The son of Eli slid across the sea and snatched up the canoe bearing the brothers and the remains of their father’s body, and suddenly gargantuan shark shot out of the sea with a gaping mouth hitting the empty air; if the canoe had still been on the water just a second later, the shark would have killed the brothers.
The massive beast curved its body in the air and shot towards Eli.
