“Thank you for meeting with me,” Prince David of the Netherlands says to me, and gives me a firm handshake. It gives a very favorable first impression, and so far I like what I see.
“I’m glad that we have finally got a chance to meet, as well,” I tell the young Prince, sincerely. “I’ve been wishing to be on better terms with the Netherlands for some time now, honestly. But your predecessor King Fredrick seemed to be disinclined to be on friendly terms, despite his sister Eleanor having been Queen Luna of the Emerald Kingdom for many years.”
“Really?” The young Prince says, sounding confused. “I guess I wasn’t aware of that. But my grandfather is rather quirky in his ways, and doesn’t get along well with most of the family.”
