Sinclair Private Training Hall - Evening
Damien stood in the center of the large training room.
The space was designed for combat practice.
Heavy punching bags.
Mats covering the floor.
Mirrors lining the walls.
Employees usually trained here for physical defense exercises.
Today, Damien had called one person specifically.
Adrian.
Adrian stepped into the room calmly.
His expression unreadable.
He already knew what this was.
A test.
Or punishment disguised as training.
Damien didn't look at him directly at first.
Instead, he removed his suit jacket slowly and tossed it aside.
"Change," Damien ordered.
Adrian raised an eyebrow.
"Into what?"
"Training clothes."
Adrian hesitated briefly.
Then sighed quietly and walked toward the locker area.
Minutes later, he returned wearing fitted athletic clothing.
The towel binding his chest was tighter now.
Stronger compression.
Safer for movement.
Damien watched carefully.
His eyes scanned Adrian's posture.
His balance.
His stance.
"Stretch," Damien said coldly.
Adrian obeyed.
He rolled his shoulders.
Loosened his muscles.
Damien stepped forward slowly.
"Everyone here thinks you're skilled."
Adrian didn't respond.
"But I want to see if that's true."
Damien suddenly attacked.
Fast.
Without warning.
His fist aimed directly at Adrian's face.
Adrian reacted instantly.
He raised his arm and blocked the strike.
The impact forced him back half a step.
But he stabilized quickly.
Damien smirked.
"Good reflex."
He attacked again - this time aiming for Adrian's ribs.
Adrian twisted his body smoothly and grabbed Damien's wrist.
Using leverage, he pulled Damien slightly off balance and pushed him away.
The room filled with the sound of heavy breathing and rapid movement.
Employees watching from the sides stared in shock.
They had never seen anyone stand toe-to-toe with Damien like this.
Damien attacked relentlessly.
Punch.
Kick.
Grab.
Adrian defended efficiently.
Every move precise.
Every counter controlled.
Then-
Damien managed to land a powerful strike against Adrian's shoulder.
Adrian staggered back.
Pain shot through his body.
Damien saw the brief moment of weakness.
He rushed forward to finish it.
But suddenly-
Adrian moved differently.
Faster.
More aggressive.
He ducked under Damien's attack and swept his leg.
Damien hit the ground hard.
The room went silent.
Adrian stood above him.
Breathing heavily.
Damien stared up at him.
Shock flashed across his face.
"You were holding back."
Adrian didn't answer.
Damien stood slowly.
His eyes now analyzing Adrian carefully.
"Who trained you?"
Silence.
Adrian replied calmly.
"Someone who believed survival depends on strength."
Damien's gaze sharpened.
"Your father?"
Adrian didn't respond.
But the silence itself was confirmation.
Damien suddenly smiled.
Not mocking.
Not angry.
Impressed.
"You're dangerous."
Adrian straightened his posture.
"Only when provoked."
The tension between them shifted slightly.
Still hostile.
Still explosive.
But now mixed with respect.
Reluctant respect.
Damien wiped blood from his lip where Adrian had struck him.
He whispered quietly,
"Interesting..."
Meanwhile - Underground Facility
The kidnapped woman slowly regained consciousness.
Her head throbbed painfully.
Her body felt weak.
She blinked slowly.
Dark.
Cold.
Metal walls surrounded her.
Then memories rushed back.
The attack.
The alley.
The man.
She gasped.
She tried to move.
Chains rattled around her wrists.
She looked around.
And her heart stopped.
Dozens of women were inside the same massive underground chamber.
Some sitting.
Some lying on the floor.
All restrained.
All with their lips sewn shut.
Their eyes turned toward her immediately.
Fear.
Pain.
Recognition.
She tried to speak.
But her mouth was sealed tightly with thread.
Tears fell instantly.
Footsteps echoed from above.
Slow.
Deliberate.
The door opened.
He entered.
Mask covering his face.
He walked calmly between the cages.
Observing.
Watching.
He stopped in front of her.
"You woke up."
She stared at him with hatred.
He crouched down slowly.
"Do you know why you're here?"
She shook her head violently.
He tilted his head.
"Because you match."
Her eyes widened.
"Twenty-five."
"Born in the right year."
He stood and walked around her slowly.
"I have been searching for one woman for twenty-five years."
His voice turned colder.
"She disappeared."
"Protected."
"Hidden."
His gaze returned to her.
"But I found traces."
He leaned closer.
"Eventually..."
He smiled behind the mask.
"I will find her."
The woman trembled violently.
He continued softly:
"And when I do..."
His eyes darkened.
"She will understand why I had to destroy everyone around her."
Silence filled the chamber.
The prisoners listened.
Terrified.
The Killer's Observation Room
The killer returned upstairs.
He removed his mask briefly.
Revealing cold eyes.
He stared at a large monitor displaying surveillance from Sinclair Media.
Then another screen showed footage from the training room.
Damien and Adrian fighting.
He paused the recording.
Zoomed in on Adrian's face.
His expression slowly shifted.
Curiosity.
Recognition?
He leaned closer.
"Strong..."
He whispered.
"Very strong."
He replayed the fight.
Adrian's defensive style.
His instinct.
His control.
The killer tilted his head.
"Why does he remind me of someone?"
He studied Adrian longer.
Something about his movement...
His balance...
His posture...
Triggered memory.
A memory buried deep.
He murmured softly,
"Impossible..."
Then a slow smile spread across his lips.
"Did Dominic train him? Nah! I doubt he knows him...and if he does..."
His fingers tapped lightly on the desk.
"Then this game just became far more interesting."
