“You’ll be okay.” Vito gently squeezed my hands as we walked into the courthouse. It was finally the day of Liam’s custody hearing. My mum was going to join us later. It was very unnecessary to be going through all that stuff because Liam was okay where he was.
With everything going on, I couldn’t help but think they would bash me for leaving my son with my mum. Some would say I abandoned him because I couldn’t take care of him.
Benjamin, on the other hand, wasn’t in any position to be with Liam either. He just came out of prison and didn’t have the financial capacity to take care of Liam. At least, that was what I thought.
