I knew Vito was going to cause a scene, but I didn’t care to call back and try to stop him. Since our secret was out in the open, I didn’t mind them meeting each other.
I decided to sit on the couch and wait for Vito’s arrival, instead of arguing with her. “I’m just trying to do what’s best for you.” She spoke in a calm voice.
“Then let me leave. There’s no way I’m going to end things with him.” I sighed.
“Do you have any idea how dangerous he is?”
“Yes. I’ve been living with him for months now.” I decided I wasn’t going to hide it from her anymore.
Her pupils dilated in shock and she gasped. “Nessa? Oh my goodness.” Taken aback by my statement, she left the door immediately and came to where I sat.
“It’s not something new, you just have to deal with it,” I said
