CHAPTER 2 "He did what?!" Damien roared after hearing what Hazel had told him. Hazel only nodded weakly, tears streaming down her cheeks as she let out sobs. Though she tried to swallow her sobs, but they just became louder. "That son of b***h! Just wait till I get my hands on him!" Damien yelled, but Hazel only shook her head. "Please, don't." She whispered, which only angered Damien more. "Why!? He f****d another woman, in YOUR bed!" Hazel only felt more upset, as more tears streamed down her cheeks. "I know, but I still love him." She sobbed out. Damien's once angered features turned soft, watching his dear friend look so distraught. "Hazel.." She only shook her head. "Please, I rather not reminisce over this afternoon." She mumbled softly, but Damien only knitted his brows together. "But-" "Please." Hazel cut in, which only made Damien lower his head. "Fine, but only because I'm taking you out." Hazel looked surprised and curiously at Damien. "Wait, what?" Damien only gave her a goofy grin. "You said it yourself, you need a distraction from that piece of s**t. So, tonight were going to go look for man for both of us." He smiled. Yeah, that's right. Damien's gay. He came out to Hazel first, when they both were in high school. Senior year. Though her response was more kind then his father's, though they don't bring that up. Knowing how it makes Damien feel. Hazel only giggled, wiping away her tears as she looked up at her goofy friend. "But, I can't. I'm engaged Damien." She smiled up at him, which made Damien heave out an irritated huff. "Yeah, well, so was that b***h. But that didn't stop him, now did it?" He replied in a harsh tone, which caused Hazel to look down at her small hands. "s**t, I'm sorry Hazel. It's just, you know. If he's able to go out doing what he pleases, then it shouldn't stop you." He tried to explain, awkwardly. Hazel only looked up, smiling at her best friend. She then let out a sigh as she wiped away a few more tears from her eyes. "Fine, but I'm only going because I wanna get fully new years eve kind of drunk. Nothing else." She replied, glaring up at Damien as she said the last part. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever you want Hazel." He replied with a wide smile. 'At least she's stopped crying.' Damien thought to himself. He hated when she cried, especially when it was over a guy. "Well I guess it's time to get you ready. I know the best club in the city, with the most strongest drinks I've ever tried." Damien stretched as he looked down at Hazel. "Sounds like just what I need." Hazel let out a half hearted chuckle. Drinking and dancing.
