CHAPTER TWO I rang the mobile number Frida had given me for her mother, but it rang out and went to message bank. I didn't leave a message, in case Carol didn't want to talk to me and blocked my call next time I rang. Surely she couldn't still be angry with me after all these years, but I wasn't taking any chances.
