Mila woke up when she heard her mom scream. She ran out of the room thinking something had happened only to find her mom jumping and laughing in the kitchen, she sighed in relief and smiled seeing her mom so happy

it's been a while since she saw her mom this happy, they lived in a small apartment with a cranky landlady who threatened to kick them out if they don't pay the rent, Mila was a high school girl who would be going to new school next week on a scholarship

" what's the celebration mommy?", she said laughing and joining her mom in her jump session, her mom saw her and hugged her still jumping

"oh my, Nalina , you wouldn't believe it, I got a job!" she said as she smiled brightly

Mila's jaw dropped and she smiled widely, " wait really mommy?"

Mrs. Kathy smiled and nodded, " yes darling and the pay is really good"

"what job is that?", Mila asked feeling curious and she noticed her mom's face fall

Kathy sighed,"a maid at a rich house", Mila's eyes widened and she immediately shook her head, "no mom no you won't be a maid never"

Her mom shook her head," I'm sorry Nalina, you do not have a say in this, the bills are not gonna pay themselves you know "

Mila sighed knowing how stubborn her mom was," please be ok mommy, if they stress you, come back home immediately mom", Mila said worried about her mom's new job, she knew how rich people could be,

'all rich people are the same', she thought.

Aiden Clark sat in his new office in his dad's company, it was actually his now. He was still in high school yet was given a company at such a young age, he was living by himself and attracted many women some even older than him.

He was the most popular jock in school and well known and feared.

School would reopen next week but he was working at the company for the mean time. His hired maid would be coming to work tomorrow.

His phone suddenly rang and get picked it up to see MOM written boldly on the screen, he answered reluctantly,

"mom, how can I help you?", he said clearly not interested in his mom's phone call, he was not actually close to his family.

"son, how is business and everything else going?", his mom asked trying to create small talk

" just state what you want mom, I don't have the time to engage in small talk with you", he said getting irritated.

his mom sighed on the other side, " come home son we need to talk"

Aiden hunged up without replying, sometimes he hated his parents, he was still a high school student for goodness sake

After grocery shopping, Mila came back tired and was met with her mom preparing her favorite, lasagna and strawberry juice.

"hey mommy, smells good", she said looking at the food, she tried to steal a piece of lasagna when her mom smacked her hand with the spoon

"ouch, mommy!", she whined, "wash your dirty hands first young lady", her mom said focused on her cooking

Kathy woke up feeling ready for her first day of work to provide for her only daughter, she didn't want her baby to live the life she lived

She went to her baby's little room and saw the teenager curled up in her blanket like a burrito

Mila woke up sensing someone's eyes on her and saw her mom in a uniform, she immediately frowned knowing it was her first day as a maid

"do you have to go?", she said stretching

and getting up.

"I do honey, take care ok", her mom said caressing her face

"ok mommy be safe and I love you"
