I

Adrian I've built my life around organization. Numbers aligned, notes organized, my entire existence polished into control. Which is why the universe had to send her crashing into my world, ruining my whole existence, which was centered on organization. It happened too quick for anyone in the library to notice but slow enough that I memorized every detail. She tripped over what wasn't there-so that means she was clumsy-and a single slip of her hand and the paper cup tilted. Hot coffee poured all over my notes that I had carefully organized. My notes. I saw red. I was about to unleash my rage until I heard her sweet melodic voice. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry" She gasped, running to get some napkins, blotting endlessly at the spreading brown stains. She realized it was hopeless and slowly lifted her eyes, looking at me with those innocent eyes made me want to break her and watch those soft eyes loose it's innocence. "You've ruined it" I said coldly. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean -" "Of course you didn't". I stopped her as I leaned back in my chair watching her fumble. "Intentions don't matter when the result is a disaster". Her expression flickered, shame then defiance. And there it was-the spark- she wouldn't let anyone crush her spirits without pulling up a fight. "But I said I was sorry" She snapped, clenching the coffee splattered napkins in her fist. Sorry couldn't erase the damages. An apology couldn't glue the torn wet pages of my notes back together. Apologies were quiet useless, it couldn't fix anything. "Do you even know what you've done?" I asked, standing now. I was taller and stronger but she didn't even shrink back. She looked me in the eye, no one looked me in the eye. They were to afraid to even talk to me. This girl was testing me. "No". She said still looking me in the eye. "As far as I'm concerned, I've done nothing wrong. It's not my fault I tripped." She continued. I smirked. Defiance from her. I should've have hated her instantly. And I did. At least, that's what I told myself as my fingers itched to hold her chin, to hold her still, to steady her so that I could study her like she was a puzzle. Up close she was beautiful, innocent and those big round eyes looked kinda cute. I smirked dangerously. "Careful, little sheep, You've just declared war" Her eyes widened in fear. Good little sheep that's what I'm supposed to instill into you. Fear. A Sheep doesn't defy their masters, they worship them. But at that moment, she lifted her chin. Brave. Stupid. Perfect. That's how a sheep behaves. She wasn't proving me wrong for calling her a sheep. "I am no one's sheep. Neither am I little." And then she scoffed. Tossing the stained napkins unto the table like my notes hadn't been stained just now. She spun on her heel and walked away. I watched her cross the room, walking toward her group of friends like nothing happened just now. She laughed at something one of them said. So she could smile like this. Let's see who will me smiling when I'm done with her. She stole a glance towards me and I smiled dangerously making her jerk her head towards her friend. And in that instant, I knew two things. One, she was going to regret ever pouring coffee on my notes. Two, I was never ever going to let her go, not in this life or the next. That girl. My little sheep. She thought she could just walk away from me. Well a sheep can't go far without their masters. They always tend to come back And she had no idea. ******* I managed to stop thinking about my little sheep as I left the library to go to class. I was still thinking about how I could get her. I didn't even know her name so I could not deduce how I was going to do that. I threw my soiled notes in the trash can as I entered the class. Everyone stopped talking or doing whatever they were doing. Yes, I had that effect on everyone. I was not only smart, I was handsome and madly rich too. Everyone worshipped the shoes I walked on. Even the teachers too. Although they hated me, they never showed it, whatsoever. I quietly walked to my sit and there she was. Sitting not quite far from me. I wondered how I never noticed her until now. Bingo. Didn't I say earlier that a sheep never walks far from it's master. She tried to ignore me but I kept watching her while class was going on. She couldn't concentrate and neither could I. Good. I didn't want her to concentrate on anything. Class ended as soon as it started. She rushed out of the classroom like she was being chased. I didn't run after her, instead I leaned back into my chair, opened my backpack and fished my phone out and called on of my minions. "d**k, why didn't you come to classes today?." I asked. He hated when I called him d**k. But as I said earlier, if you hated me, you just had to deal with until maybe the day I died. And that wasn't happening soon enough. "I was busy doing somethings" He said obviously lying. I could hear some moaning in the background. "Really" I asked. ″If you think you're getting into law school with this behaviour then you're obviously shitting yourself" I continued. I could hear some shuffling in the background. He was obviously wearing his clothes. "What do you want, Adrian". He asked. "What I want is for you to stop f*****g whores and get your ass back to class, if you really want to go to law school". I said, I was beginning to loose my temper. Dick had some potential and as much as I hated to admit it, I saw him as a friend not a minion. But I would never tell him that, people tend to slack off when they know their worth and I didn't want that. He jerked me back to reality. "Fine, What do you want?" "Well, there's this girl in our class. I don't know her name" "A girl... What did she do to have gotten you attention?" He asked. "Nothing that concerns you. Do you want to help me out or not?" "Fine, what do you need?" "Well, I need a background check and a name." "But I have no idea who I'm looking out for" ″All I know is that she's part of Hannah's group. I need it tonight″ I said as I hang up the call. Little Sheep. I'm coming for you.
