Samuel's Pov....
A breathtakingly familiar scent filled my senses the moment the car pulled into the driveway, overwhelming me so completely that I dropped Prince's lead. I watched in anxious horror as the massive dog streaked towards the visitors, barking savagely, before I finally regained my senses. I let out a loud whistle and shouted, "Prince, heel!"
I smiled as Prince skidded to a halt right in front of the most beautiful woman, she possessed this thick, lush mane of blonde hair with caramel highlights, delicate features, captivating silvery blue eyes and curves to die for, she was enchanting and my second chance mate. I walked swiftly towards them apologising profusely for the scare.
The moment our hands met, the electric jolt was undeniable, and the scent that emerged with her arousal had my c**k hard and my wolf salivating. She jerked her hand away and I could see she was fighting her tears, with big, heaving sobs, she lost that fight, she held on to her Gamma female and let it all out. Me and my wolf needed to give her time to mourn her loss. However, we both instantly realized just how challenging that waiting period would prove to be.
I showed the Gamma couple to a room, then guided Farrah to the room next door—I had wanted to offer her the Luna suite but hesitated, not wanting to provoke a negative reaction. I left them to get washed up and settle in, then nearly ran to my own room so I could take care of the big problem in my pants.
I undressed swiftly and got in the warmth of the shower, imagining Farrah on her knees, beautiful lips stretched around my c**k, tonguing my c**k head piercing, head bobbing up and down, cheeks hollowed out sucking and her small hand fondling my big, heavy balls, "hmmmm I'm gonna c*m baby, just a little more" I was thrusting rapidly into my hand, other hand up against the tiles, I shout her name as I c*m. I wash off and get out the shower.
A wave of relief washed over me. I mind-linked my Beta, Marcus, asking him to join me to discuss some work.
He arrived two minutes later, holding a coffee for each of us. He carefully placed the mugs on coasters, preserving the walnut finish of my desk.
"I'm so glad she's finally here for you," he said genuinely, "not the circumstances, of course."
I smiled sadly. "I know, man. The circumstances for her are horrendous. It's going to take some time for her to grieve, but I’ll wait for her."
"I'll just make sure she feels the safety and love of this pack, she and Illios will want for nothing while I'm alive," I told him seriously "I'm hoping meeting Sarena will help in her recovery, what do you think?" I asked Marcus.
Marcus nodded thoughtfully, taking a sip of his coffee before responding. "Sarena has a way of knowing exactly what people need, even if they don't know it themselves. Her practical approach to healing might be the perfect balm for Farrah right now, more so than any grand gestures of protection." He paused, looking at me with a serious expression. "But you need to be careful, Alpha. Her loss is incredibly fresh. Your wolf is calling for your mate, but her human heart is broken. The pack understands this."
"I know," I sighed, running a hand through my hair, the faint scent of jasmine and fruit salad sweets I had picked up from her still lingering in my senses. "That's why I haven't pushed anything. My priority right now is her safety, and that of her son, Illios. I'll focus on the logistics of helping her reclaim her pack and let Sarena work her magic on the emotional side of things for a while."
"Sarena is the best for that," Marcus agreed, a hint of a smile touching his lips. "Speaking of logistics, I've started putting together a basic overview of their pack’s current situation based on the general news feeds. It seems chaotic over there. The Beta, the one who took over, has already made some aggressive changes." He pulled a file from a stack on my desk and opened it, sliding a page toward me.
I scanned the document, my mood shifting instantly from introspection about Farrah to the cold calculation of strategy. The words on the page detailed troop movements and unsettling alliances. The usurper wasn't just sitting back; he was consolidating power quickly and violently. "He’s an amateur playing a dangerous game," I muttered, my Alpha instincts kicking in fully. "He’s reaching out to the Rogues for support. That’s a mistake that could cost us all."
"Exactly what I thought," Marcus confirmed, leaning in as we both focused on the plan. "We need to move quickly, Alpha. We have a moral obligation to help Farrah reclaim what is hers, but now, it’s also about preventing a potential rogue foothold in the region. We need to secure our borders and prepare for the inevitable fight." The rest of the afternoon disappeared into battle plans and strategy.
We worked through the details until the scent of dinner began wafting up the stairs, a welcome interruption to the grim task. "That's my cue," I said, stretching my shoulders, the tension easing slightly. "I need to make sure our guests feel welcome and fed, not just plot military takeovers." Marcus grinned, gathering his papers. "Good call, Alpha. I'll see you in the dining hall."
I took a moment to splash cold water on my face, making sure my expression was neutral before heading down. I found Farrah and her Gamma couple, Chris and Sarah, taking a table at the back of the bustling hall. They looked exhausted but resolute. Grabbing a plate piled high with hearty stew and a glass of milk, I walked over to them, eager to offer something more tangible than just strategies. "I thought you might need some sustenance," I said, placing the food in front of a weary Farrah with a gentle smile.
"Thank you," she murmured, her expression one of gratitude for the gesture and the opportunity to focus on something other than the swirling emotions that no doubt plagued her. As she ate, I began to ask subtle, gentle questions about their journey and current situation, keeping my tone empathetic and my focus entirely on them. It was clear she was a strong leader who cared deeply for her people, which only reinforced my resolve to ensure she found the help she needed here.
"How is the little one doing?" I asked softly, my gaze a gentle inquiry toward where I knew the boy, Illios, was sleeping soundly in his room. The woman before me, my mate, swallowed a mouthful of stew, her eyes pricking with tears once more at the mention of her son's distress.
"He's asleep for now," she managed to say, her voice trembling slightly. "He's having a very hard time with... everything."
My expression softened further; I hoped my silent pledge of support passed between us, providing a small, much-needed comfort in the vast ocean of her grief.
