The incomplete story of mr Finley goes like this ****†****†****†****†****†****†****†****† The canopy of the Weeping Woods choked out the sun, plunging Teale into a humid, suffocating gloom. He paused, his boot sticking to the forest floor. Looking down, he realized the rich soil was actually a thick carpet of decaying leaves masking something far more sinister—a lattice of hardened, silk-like cables. He didn't have time to react before the silence shattered.Click-click-click.The sound echoed from the dark boughs above—a rapid, rhythmic chattering that made his blood run cold. Above them, eight glossy, multifaceted eyes caught the dim, filtering light. It was a Weaver-Crag, the size of a draft horse, its segmented legs dripping with a viscous, acidic venom. The two barely threw them self backward as a blur of hairy, chitinous limbs slammed into the earth where they had stood a second before. The impact cracked a nearby oak. Before the beast could pivot, Morjit drew his torch, striking his flint. The flare of fire cast long, dancing shadows, causing the behemoth to hiss and recoil, its mandibles snapping furiously. Backing slowly toward the treeline, keeping the flame locked between them, They knew there only chance was to reach the sunlight just a dozen yards away—before the creature’s nest-mates joined the hunt. But it was already late as the nest mates joined for the hunt... Teale: Run, we must survive this, our way is still long. Morjit: Behind you Taele.. The stick of fire soon was put off by their speed, this increased the chase of the spiders, but taele fell into the sticky trap of the spiders. Morjit: Take my hand taele.. Taele: ( Looking behind ) You must go morjit so you will bring good news to the villagers. Morjit: Shut up, we took off together and we will return together. Saying that he dragged taele out and removed is sword. Morjit: Let go, Let go.. The creatures gave a wild chase not willing to give up Morjit guarding taele forgetting to guard himself was pierced by the creature in his leg. Morjit: ( In pains ) Haaa! my leg.. Taele: Don't give up we can do just look at there the sun is out let go Taele helped Morjit and they ran forward luckily enough the spiders did not follow they were scared of the sun... Taele: ( Taking care of his wounds ) I told you we will survive . Morjit: We are meant to survive. After taking care of the wound they took off and continued their journey. They soon bursted into another jungle which looks weird. Taele: Another jungle.. Morjit: This looks weird. Taele: Let move on. The jungle was a wall of suffocating green, alive with the deafening chorus of cicadas. Every step they took sank into the decaying mulch of the forest floor, his boots heavy with humidity. They paused to wipe the sweat from their eyes, unaware of the amber eyes tracking their every twitch from the canopy above.Without warning, the silence shattered.Something massive whipped through the air, striking them like a falling tree trunk. Mojit slammed into the damp earth, the wind violently knocked out of his lungs. Before he could scream, a heavy, muscular coil slammed over his chest, anchoring him to the ground. He looked up into the terrifying, gaping maw of a reticulated python, its scales shimmering with an oily, iridescent sheen. The snake’s second coil whipped around his legs, while a third banded tightly around his torso. Each time he exhaled, the constriction tightened, squeezing his ribs until they groaned. The air was gone. His vision blurred at the edges as the crushing weight threatened to snap his bones like twigs.Panic threatened to overwhelm him, but instinct took over. Morjit: Run Taele run.... Taele: I can't leave you in this. Morjit: It is either you die or i die go our people must know that Paradise exists. Morjit reached blindly at his hip, his fingers desperately searching for the leather sheath of his machete. The python’s head drew back, preparing to strike and subdue its meal. With the last ounce of his rapidly fading strength, unsheathed the blade and thrust it upward into the thick muscle just beneath the serpent’s jaw.The python hissed—a sound like escaping steam—and recoiled in pain. The sudden agony caused its death grip to shudder and loosen just enough. Gasping for air, Morjit scrambled backward, rolling into the thorny underbrush. He didn't look back, sprinting blindly through the suffocating jungle as the giant snake thrashed behind him.
