I followed Kisten through the morning light as we continued walking through the rock crevices. I was surprised by how deep some of the paths went, and I looked up at the forest above us as we descended deeper. Despite claiming to not know where we were, Kisten was surprisingly good at navigating the spaces, and we always seemed to avoid any dead ends or caves. Movement above us caused us both to pause, and Kisten quickly pressed me into the shadow of the rock as some of the leaves cascaded down into the crevice.
