CHAPTER FIVE - I CAUGHT THEM RED HANDED.

1325 Words
JOHNNY'S POV We arrived at the front of her house and a magnificent gate opened to let us in. This was my first time visiting her house so I took in the beauty of the buildings around. The house was exorbitantly built. The exquisite taste of the owner was clearly written on the magnificent and well constructed buildings. There was a long drive way that lead to the main entrance of the house. The drive way had flower pots with beautiful flowers arranged at few intervals away from each other. The other part of the compound was covered in well trimmed lawns. I rolled the car to a stop in front of the house and turned to Sophie. "We'll talk later alright." She dried her now bulgy face and turned to me. Her face was almost twice it's original size. I took out my phone and snapped her quickly before she could turn away. "Johnny...." She whined and tried to reach out for my phone. Too late I already locked the screen. She collected the phone and tried to open it to no avail. "Stop trying unless you want to block my phone." I hit her head lightly. She pouted and acted like she was going to start crying again. "How am I going to explain to my million of followers that I was caught lacking by the camera." "So you're just bothered about your followers." "Yes....so can you delete it?..." She pouted and made a cute face. "That ain't going to change a thing." I was glad she was getting better. Atleast her mind was not on what ever it was that made her to cry. "And I assume that's because I am not Annabelle right?" I was trying to hold a smirk from appearing on my face. That sentence got me. I feigned anger and got out from the car. "I am going home if you're going to tease me." She came out from the car and grabbed me by my arm. "No way. You're already here so you have to meet my parents." "What!!! Your parents are home?" According to what she told me if I remember clearly her dad was a busy type and rarely came home on time. And her mom like hanging out with friends during the day so I didn't expect any of them to be home by this time. "Yes they're. And they don't bite so don't give me that face." She dragged me towards the door and it was too late to run away as the door swung open. A young lady appeared from the room and dragged Sophie in for a hug. "I heard your car arrive and I was wondering how long you would you to come in." She looked up at me and smiled. "And who is the young handsome fella we have here?" "Mom meet my friend Johnny and Johnny meet my mom." What!!! Her mom? Though there was a slight resemblance between the both of them mother and daughter would be the last blood tie I would assume of both of them. "Good afternoon ma'am." "Come here dear." She brought me in for a hug too. " Mad dint call me ma'am. You're breaking my heart. You can call me Clarissa if you call me mom like Sophie does." She lead the way in and we followed closely behind her. We got to the sitting room and there was a man who looked in his late forties seated there. Sophie ran to his side and hugged him. "Hey dad." I greeted him and he nodded his head at me in reply. "Sophie make sure to treat your guest to something don't starve him. I'll be upstairs with your dad. Sophie's mom said left the sitting room with Sophie's dad. "Mom what about the surprise you had for me." Sophie raised her voice slightly as they reached the top of the stairs. "That would be later dear don't keep your guest waiting." Sophie's mom said and disappeared from our line of view. A maid appeared and served us snacks and fruits. "Dinner would soon be ready please exercise patience." And she left. "So tell me what's going on with you and Annabelle." Sophie asked with her eyes and ears widd open. She sure loved gossiping. "Nothing much." I said and shrugged my shoulders. "You liar." She said and hit my arm. "Well, Fiona and Donald are having an affair." "What!!!" Woah...that was a bomb I didn't expect coming. "That can't be true. Do you have any evidence." "I don't need an evidence I caught them red handed. This was too much too process. "So sorry girl. She started sobbing again. "He doesn't deserve your tears you know." She kept her head on my shoulder and I rubbed her hair. She nodded. "I just can't help it. I didn't expect it. Atleast not with Fiona of all people." "Yeah I get. It's alright cry some more." She hit my shoulder and stood up from the sofa. "You're really the worst person to expect consolation from." "You aren't Anabelle so I really don't know how to console you." "Hit me at my weakest point you asshole. I am going to get a man soon." "Till then." She was getting it good spirits and I was glad. She went to a room and brought out game pads. "I don't know what your flex us really not like you guys are an item." She handed me a pad and sat down. "I hope you know how to play. Don't bore the game for me." She chose football for us to play. "Wow. That there is a challenge. Don't beg me when I beat you hands down." No way was she going to win me when I have a brother that made me play this game with him whenever he was free. I was literally forced to learn and become a pro to be able to keep up to him. We started playing and I had the upper hand. I was winning the game with three points to zero and it was just thirty minutes left for the game to end. She was good at the game. I thought u was winning when all of a sudden a drastic change took place. Sophie started winning and getting points and at the end of the game she won seven points to four points. How it happened was what I couldn't comprehend. We played a few more rounds and she still won me hands down. She dropped her game pad and cracked her knuckles. "You tried." There was no insult worse than this statement coming from a girl. My phone beeped and I checked the message. It was from my brother. "If you aren't going to return home you might as well inform someone so your name can be removed from our household register." Gush....does he always have to be mean. I sent him my location. "Hey Sophie... I'll have to get going." "Without staying for dinner?" Sophie's mom chipped in from the top of the stairs. "It's dinner time already I insist you stay for dinner." I gave Sophie my side eye but she just shrugged her shoulders at me. "Ok ma'am." We sat at the table and dishes were served by the maids. There were a lot of dishes served but I helped myself with steaks and bolognese spaghetti. Sophie's plate was filled to the brim and overflowing. No wonder she got this fat. Sophie's parents were all lovely dowey at the end of the table not minding that there were others at the table. And for a moment I was glad I lived with just my brother. My parents owned an island that they moved too recently because my mom said she was bored at home and wanted to go for a vacation. My dad agreed to accompany her. Not like he had a choice though.
