It was cold and dark.
I could hardly make out my surroundings. It was not helping that everywhere was silent; safe for the sound of the howling wind. I could not even sense or smell any other soul around me.
Yara shifted within me in an uncomfortable way. She too did not like this place.
'How did we get here?' I asked her inwardly.
But Yara had no answer for me. She was as confused as I was. I frowned as I looked around. It was time to activate my wolf's eyes. My vision shifted and got a grayish yet golden tint due to my amber eye color.
I soon realised that there was nothing around me. Just a vast emptiness that stretched on and on for eternity. The one thing that I was able to decipher was that I was in some form of desert with no stars in the sky.
