My heart pounded heavily as I ran for my life.
All I had to do was stall, and keep running for as long as possible, pending the time that the triplets would come find me.
I was running out of breath. Yara danced wildly in my mind and I felt as if my heart was going to explode at one point.
Tears filled my eyes due to fear. The greatest fear was that whatever had happened in the woods that day might repeat itself if the triplets did not hurry.
I did not want to murder another person and start hearing it in my dreams at night. I could not deal with getting haunted by them again.
Eventually, I entered a clearing that had a single tree ahead. My pounding heart was not helping. The smell of the trees surrounding me was only making things tough.
