As he spoke, he patted her shoulder. Candice snapped back to her senses and quickly dodged his touch. Looking up into Yannick's eyes, she couldn't help but feel a chill down her spine.
"There's no need..." she whispered, "I know that she's just upset about losing the order, and I won't take it to heart. But please tell her, if she dares to insult me like that again, I won't let it go!"

Yannick's triangular eyes rolled, his gaze lingering on Candice.
Normally, she was quiet and appeared soft and easy to bully. But just now, when she argued with Sally, she resembled a rose with thorns.
