Candice and Matthew quickly followed, hiding nearby. The bullies started to attack Chuck. They formed a circle around him as he crouched in the middle, and soon his cries could be heard. Candice suppressed her urge to intervene and chose the best position to record the incident with her phone.
When she felt she had enough footage, she exchanged glances with Matthew, who immediately rushed over and quickly knocked the bullies to the ground. Chuck's face bore a few more scratches, but they were not severe. Matthew shielded him, his fierce gaze sweeping over the bullies' faces.
