I have little to add to Michael’s impressions of the event which marked Australia so historically. To this day, nothing is known about their stories. About why and how they were motivated to fight so fearlessly to that bitter and tragic end. However, the effects of that event would continue to be felt across world-wide society for years to come, and again, I have little to say about it that won’t already be covered in this book.
Keenly, one must note Miracle’s early affinity for politics, such that she knew what Hargrave was doing before anyone else. Including Hargrave’s political allies.
Instead of pushing fear of the supernatural abilities, which would soon be an international sentiment, Hargrave instead suggested a different narrative.
