“I’m here alone,” Griffin stated at once, to relax Michael. “Well, kind of. Max and Rick’re in the crowd somewhere. The rest didn’t care that much about Hargrave.” “You did?” Michael asked carefully. Griffin glanced away and shrugged. “He died trying to help Jake and I. He’s a good guy, unlike most of them.” “Most of them?” Michael asked, less carefully. Griffin’s brow creased as his face twisted slightly in disapproval. “Did you hear the new term they’re coming up with?
