Rachel, the girl who fired high-density light beams, or lasers, was the team leader who had fought Griffin’s in the first competitions. She switched to level three physics, and that’s where Michael properly got to know her.
She was an earnest girl compared to every other high schooler Michael had met, and that wasn’t to say she was no fun. Simply, Rachel acted as if she was on a path to greatness, and if she failed at any step, the world would lose greatly. She was obsessed with being successful in her goals, and one of them involved winning the super competitions.
That was the topic over which the two had really bonded over.
“Well, Tom’s been training a lot, so we’re hoping he’ll stand a better chance against Maya and Myra. The two’re really the key to Griffin’s strength, I think.”
