Michael woke up to the alarm clock as exhausted as he had been before going to sleep. Feeling like he had gotten no rest at all, he took a shower and forced himself to eat an apple for breakfast. While he did so, he used the internet connection on his phone to check on who he was going to fight.
There were a lot more contestants in Singles, so that meant a couple more matches.
Yawning, Michael saw that he would eventually be matched up against Rick, the earth controller. Crap, I could really use a plan against that guy.
Michael still had nearly five hours, though, and so far, he had heard no thoughts from Maya. Maybe she had grown bored and left him forever. But perhaps she would return.
Michael would have to figure out his strategies before that happened.
