It is surprising to note how often Maxwell suffered defeat and how many wounds and injuries he had inflicted upon him. He was not impervious to any kind of harm, especially when it came to non-kinetic damage like fire, lasers, acid, and so on. Yet, he was consistently part of Griffin’s vanguard irrespective of the risks to his personal well-being or the disrespect from his very allies.
However, Maxwell understood something that many supra-mutants did not, and that was that one’s supra-mutation was not limited. Many tested their powers and what they could do, and assumed that was all. But in almost every instance, a supra-mutation is very much like a muscle. It can be trained, pushed, and developed much in the same way.
