Prologue

A little pup was running around the woods. He was always curious. His father’s restrictions never could cage him. He ran towards the waterfall as usual. He was almost eleven then. This area of the forest was so peaceful. He sat near the waterfall on one of the boulders. Suddenly he felt a slight disturbance in the nearby bushes. He stood up. There was no sign of fear on his face. He stood still. Suddenly he saw a young lady came out of the bushes, panting. She was covered in blood. Her gown was dirty. Her hair was dishevelled. She looked pale and exhausted. The little boy ran towards the young lady and tried to help her stand properly. “You are hurt, my lady! Let me help you! ” He shouted. “Thank you, little one. But, I need to see the Northern king first,” the lady said. Her voice was trembling so was she. “You are in his territory, my lady. My father is the Alpha of this land. Let me take you to our home. My father will help you definitely,” the boy said back, assuring her. The young lady agreed. She hardly had any more choices, though. Once they reached the Packhouse, the young lady was welcomed by the Alpha of the pack. She was injured and could hardly walk anymore. “My lord, please take this to the Northern Alpha king. It has my smell. He will understand everything,” she said, giving him a handkerchief. It was dirty and covered with blood patches. A half-bloomed lotus was embroidered on one corner of that, which could merely be seen. “My lady! You are…” the Alpha was stopped in the middle. “Please hurry. I have little time left,” the lady said back again. There was something in her voice that made the Alpha believe in her. The Alpha himself went to see the king. He was unsure if the king would be willing to come to his territory. But to his surprise, the king agreed just after witnessing the handkerchief. Once they reached the Packhouse again, the Alpha noticed that the young lady was lying on a bed, and the medic was applying ointments on her wounds. She even looked paler than before. “It was you!” the king said as soon as he entered the room. “Please forgive me, my king! I was unable to fulfil my duties towards you,” the lady said with much pain. The northern king walked near her and caressed her head once. “Who did this to you?” he asked in a rage. His eyes were changing colour. “We don’t have time for this, my king. Listen to me carefully!” She said. “My father was a terrible person. He spread the corruption. He started the war with the Eastern Werewolf Empire. It was all him. He associated with the black witches. He chose dark paths and ran some dark rituals. All those villages were wiped out because of him. He was a murderer. But my brothers were the worst. The new king of the Western Empire wants to do the same horrible things that my father did. You must stop him, my king!” She was panting after completing. The Alpha king held her hand tightly with one hand and started to stroke her hair gently with the other. “Calm down, princess,” he whispered. He was already aware of what those western royals were doing. But the princess of the western empire was different. “You don’t understand. His first target is the Southern lands. He will wipe out the whole bloodline, and then they will come for your lands. He wants to rule over all four lands,” the princess said again. Tears started to roll down from her eyes. “They have already destroyed the peace, and now they will destroy the balance of our world, a northern king. What he wants to do is horrible. He is going to sacrifice the souls of southern wolves to the devil of the hell,” her voice was trembling. The northern king became silent after hearing the western princess. He knew that dark rituals were involved, but he could never imagine those sacrificing souls of their kind. Things were different, even a few hundred years ago. There were peace and harmony among the four lands, but things started to change once the western king associated with the black witches. The moon goddess separated her world from others after that. He thought everything ended with that, but he was wrong. “You are believed to be the descendant of the moon goddess, the purest among all. You are the only one who can end this. You must stop my brother, my king. I beg you! You must save our world”, she lost her consciousness with her last words.
