Involuntary Regression

Norilsk, Rússia It was past 10 p.m. and Lwide was waiting for Romanían to come out of the laboratory; as he was taking so long and had8 given no warning, he decided to see what was going on. He passed through the long corridor that gave access to the research room, the light was low and the cold wind invaded the place through some invisible space. There was no one else but the stubborn scientist and the security guard at the main entrance. Lwide sees that the door is closed, surely his assistant Kira left it before she left. He enters quietly, not seeing Romanian around; he continues to observe the large room. Arriving near the bathroom at the back, he notices that the light is on. Lwide approaches the entrance and finds Romanian lying on the floor. Lwide tries to rouse her while raising her body. She’s pale and her eyes are wide open; they’re fixed without any outlines. Unsuccessfully, he carries her in his arms to the car with the help of the security guard; he calls her parents to say that he will take her to the nearest hospital, but is soon stopped. Her mother tells him to take her home immediately. She’ll be fine soon. Lwide is perplexed by this reaction but follows explicit orders that he must not invade his clients’ privacy until he wants to. Her mother, Anna, is on her way to the apartment. She tells him the reason for her decision. Lwide arrives at the elegant building with its red brick façade and sturdy doors carved with Renaissance sculptures. He looks around, noticing that the street is empty. He takes Romanían on his shoulders up to the third floor. Anna arrives shortly afterwards, asking him to fill a bathtub with ice. She indicates that there is a freezer set up with bags inside. Lwide finds it strange but obeys. He realizes that Romanían has a high temperature for someone who lives in a climate below 15°. His mother removes her clothes more than quickly, not caring about the Vampire’s presence. He tries to turn his face away, but has to comply with her orders to pour the ice halfway into the bath. Lwide is enchanted by the girl’s beauty. Her skin is smooth, visibly silky; she has no pubic hair or hair on any part of her body except her head. But that’s very strange! Lwide admires the perfect outline of her long, shapely legs, like a beautiful sculpture. Romanían is still unconscious, but begins to react by mumbling words that are intelligible to Anna, but to the vampire, are astonishing as he recognizes na ancient language. Anna asks the guardian if he recognizes the language, he nods positively but signals for her to remain silent until Romanian has finished. After a while, no more than two minutes, Romanian falls silent and his temperature returns to normal. Anna prepares the bed and asks Lwide to bring it. The guardian is embarrassed to have her naked in his arms. But he lifts her out of the bath and takes her into his body. Romanían slowly wakes up feeling his presence. She doesn’t understand, trying to hide her small breasts with her hands. Lwide doesn’t look at her and puts her on the bed, then turns around. Anna asks him to wait in the living room. - Mom, did it happen again? -Yes, but it’s nothing to worry about. -You’re kidding! I need answers. I wake up naked in a stranger’s arms and it’s nothing to worry about? -I didn’t mean that, my child. I’m referring to the fact that your health is perfect. It’s just stress. You live locked up in that laboratory. - Perfect health doesn’t make young people faint and have their bodies plunged into a bathtub full of ice. I remembered the dream. But it sounds like a real nightmare. I just can’t define what they mean, Mom. It’s nothing like anything I’ve experienced so far. -Romanian, pay close attention! Your bodyguard is na educated man. He knows how to translate ancient dialects. I know you can help; I’ll talk to him. -No! I forbid it. I don’t want him to think I’m crazy; besides, I’m thinking of firing Lwide. -You’re jumping the gun. He seems like a man worthy of your trust. -Who’s talking? You don’t trust your own shadow, Mom, why would you give him your vote of confidence? -Because this one is different. I can feel it. - Okay, Mom, but until the other day I saw him as another eye. -That’s the role of every mother. - I’m thinking of spending the weekend at our house in the cave reserve. I need a break from the lab and the research. That place will restore my energy. -It’s good, my child. Take the opportunity to disconnect your mind from this research. You and Lwide can discuss your dreams. -I didn’t tell you I was taking the cupboard with me. I thought you said you wanted privacy. -Honey, that’s his job. If you don’t want to take it, that’s your right. But it won’t stop you from watching everything around you. -Bullshit, Mom. There’s no one trying to kill me. -I didn’t mean Romanian death, but caution doesn’t hurt anyone, especially since you’ve got some enemies around here because of the water analysis. Don’t forget that. - That’s fine. But I’ll tell you right away that he’s going to sleep in the barn. -But how rigid you are, my child. The boy will freeze to death. - He won’t! He’s like a polar bear, Mom. - I think I’d better let him know you’re all right. He seemed distressed by his condition. I’ll talk to you tomorrow, my child. Take care. -I thought you’d sleep here with me. -Lwide will have his eyes open. I’ll ask you to stay here tonight. - In my apartment? No way! - I don’t intend to spend the night arguing with you Romanían. That’s enough! See you tomorrow. Anna went into the living room to talk to Lwide about what had happened; she was trying to understand the reasons for this feeling of unease that had recurred a few times. Romanían had nightmares associated with fainting. Anna asked the guardian for help. -Lwide, I hear you like to keep secrets. -Lady, I don’t really appreciate it; it’s just that in my condition, it’s essential to be prepared for anything. -So you know the content of those sentences my daughter spoke while she was delirious. -Yes, ma’am. -What language was that? What was it saying? - Your daughter is very sensitive. Apparently she’s under the influence of distant eras that she’s probably heard of or her soul is reliving. -How do you know that? -I heard her mention that barren women would have children to populate the earth. The language spoken sounded like Akkadian or Assyrian Babylonian. I was a little confused. -But what does that have to do with her? -The lady more than anyone knows her origin. I was warned that it wasn’t a simple case. Romanían has two descendants still germinating inside her. -We know enough to protect her Lwide, but not everything has been revealed to us. Please be clearer! -Your daughter carries genes from na ancient era. She is considered a Royal Blood. A dual between species that lean towards good and evil. -So that’s why we were contacted by her parents. They were distressed. We had known about your hierarchy for a long time. We just didn’t understand who might be interested in taking you hostage. -Her parents had the same condition, but she had acquired a particular trait. Her adopted daughter carries a rare evolutionary process in her DNA. She can work miracles with her own HR, but she can also fall into the wrong hands and bring back to life beings lost in time. -What do you mean, lost in time? Romanian can donate eggs, tissue, blood for a kind of resurrection or even fertilize new highly evil beings; all it takes is a small fragment of well-preserved genetic material. I assure you, it will be possible -That’s terrifying! -Yes, highly out of control. -Lwide, we need a meeting with the council. See how you can arrange it and let me know. For now, stay as close to her as you can. Take her to the forest reserve for two days. I’ll see what I can do to avoid a catastrophe. -Mrs. Anna, if you don’t mind my saying so, I must warn you in advance that the council has appointed me to protect her no matter what. They know about the imminent danger of a prophecy written over four thousand years ago. They speak of the future of humanity. But those scrolls are now in the power of hidden forces who have discovered them and wish to fulfill them. -Take my daughter away. She needs to have a good time. It hasn’t been easy keeping this secret. -I’ll see what I can do about the council meeting. But with regard to the secret, I advise you to ask the elders what action you should take about the truth. Romanían needs to know his true origins. Anna agrees with everything the guardian advises her. She then leaves. Lwide goes next door to get his clothes. Romanían gets up and heads for the kitchen and bumps into the handsome man. -Wow, can’t you see where you’re going? -It was you who bumped into me. I don’t need to get out of the way. -Ah forget it! By the way, what are you doing here in your pajamas? Did you miss the door? -I’m spending the night here and we’ll leave early for the forest reserve. -My mother’s no good! -Take it up with her, I only do what I’m told. -According to everyone, except me. -Romanian, I think you’ve had a very hard day. You should rest. -Ah, but I’m not going! I want to know exactly what you translated about me. -I’m not your translator, much less do I have the authorization to talk about any issue of someone who has been under some hallucinogenic effect. -How is that? You called me a junkie! -Don’t put words in my mouth; I only meant that you could have been under the effect of some medication or exposed to some laboratory product. -I know very well how to protect myself. I haven’t used anything or been exposed to anything. -Okay, so let’s go to sleep. We’ll leave early tomorrow. -Are you going to let me sleep with this unknown running through my head? - Relax. You’ve certainly been watching too many series. -I don’t have time for that. Don’t get on my nerves and tell me what happened to me. - I’m not allowed to talk about matters that don’t concern me. Your mother will tell you later -It’s okay; I realize I’m not going to get anything out of you. I’m going to my room. Good night, Lwide. -Good night Romanían. Lwide spent a good part of the night making reports for the Templar Council; while Romanían rolled over in bed at the thought of being under the care of that attractive, unassuming man.
